Basketball is really the only sport I like and this is the only place I post.

Football fans are notorious for being cold and indifferent towards the death of actresses. I thought basketball fans were a little more sympathetic but you guys are causing me to seriously question that.

In any case, I'm through arguing with you 13 year olds. On to better things today.

Why was it posted in the Bulls thread and not in the Bears, Hawks, Off-topic etc? Its such a big deal yet its only being discussed here

I don't think it is the fact that we are being cold. It seems to be more of an issue that you are overly sensitive and proudly 'color outside the lines' just for the sake of doing so?

Yet we are the ones who are childish/"13 year-olds." Gotta love it

Good Lord you guys are dorks.

(Nerdy voice) You aren't allowed to post secular things in the Chicago Bulls folder. It says in Section RT-567566556 Slash 3343333.4444332 that all posts must be pertaining to the topic.

My apologies to all the conventional message forum dorks.

Every now and then, something of great magnitude and news-worthy happens. On the bullspodcasters.com in June of 2009 all we talked about was Michael Jackson for an entire week.

Pfeiffer and Lewinstein did half a show on MJ's passing. Kush did an entire segment on it. PTI did an entire segment on it.

And now that Michael Jackson's ferry godmother has just passed away, something of comparable magnitude has just occured. Furthermore though, she was one of the greatest actresses we have ever seen. She was in Son of Lassie for crying out loud. She made all that perfume - why wouldn't we be discussing her passing and all her accomplishments?

Sometimes secular things must be discussed.

Let's show some respect to Elizabeth Taylor, for all she did anmd contributed to the less fortunate and her legacy.

Bulldpocasters.Com also did not have an off-topic forum or an all sports forum to discuss other things. It was just all slapped in one forum.

So your post is 50/50.

Great site rush. I think Frank suffers from the same problem as me. We have a community in the basketball forum. we don't like venturing out of it. Even if our topics aren't pertinent to the topics at hand.

This is nothing. When Barbra Streisand dies, Frank will be permanently unable to look at a basketball without choking up.

As tough as it is, and though I know a LOT of great performances will be snubbed off the list, gun to my head, these are the top 10 best Elizabeth Taylor movies).

10. Cleopatra (she played Cleopatra better than anyone else I've seen do it. she absolutely kills it).
9. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe (alright, but not as good as critics claim it to be).
8. Scent of Mystery (the love scene in this movie is SO sexy).
7. Raintree County (Very under-rated film; Liz stars opposite Montgomery Clift).
6. Father of the Bride (way better than the Steve Martin-Martin Short remake).
5. Suddenly Last Summer (good suspenceful build ups, keeps you guessing).
4. Little Women (again, far better than the stupid remake with Winona Rider).
3. Lassie Come Home (one of her very first roles, just a girl in this movie but did so well. this is just a sweet, heart-touching film. Makes me cry next to every time I watch it.)
2. Giant (most peoples pick, but not mine)
1. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (without a doubt, the absolute greatest Elizabeth Taylor performance. It is funny, it is suspenceful, it's, smart, it's sexy - it's everything you would want in a late night popcorn flick. RENT CAT ON A HOT RIN ROOF TONIGHT!).

No reason, but just call me curious...how do you go about becoming a message forum moderator? Do you get paid to do this? How does it work?

If you're going to be on vacation this summer, I'd love to hold down the fort while you're away.

Lemme know.

It's fine by me, but if somebody questions it being in here you can't truly fault them.

Dear Guy,

Are you seriously bumping this topic again and again and wondering why people call you out? What's up with that?

If you hope to mod this site, I believe you will find that ship sailing somewhere along the waters of your logic and reasoning skills.

It can be discussed on this board, but there's a place for it. It's in the Bar. You should check it out sometime, so some of this garbage gets filed in the right folder.
