I'm done with Floyd. We know who he is. At best 4th starter. Trade him now

Isn't that what we always use him as?

He's always behind Danks, Buerhle, Peavy/Javy (depending on the year)

EDIT: He was the #2 in 2009.

Its fucking stupid the only way we get to see him up here is if Quentin is traded. I know its not all Juan's fault, I get that, but he was brought in to be a speedy lead off man (which he's failed at), steal bases, (aso failed), play okay defense (also failed at), but yeah, lets get rid of the power hitter with a good OBP or let the young slugger rot in AAA.

Stupidity: There are traditions, and there are White Sox traditions.

Because Ozzie can't get it through his thick skull that the Juan Pierre we have in 2011 is not the same one he saw in 2003 with the Marlins, who was fast enough to make up for the fact that he's never been a heads-up baserunner.

Sox, on paper, are a championship caliber team. I realize 3 under .500 isn't all that bad, but given what we have, its fucking pathetic.

It could be much worse, at least your team still has a fighting chance unlike the piece of dung on the North side of town.

True, we should count our blessings in that regard, but we shouldn't be in the position we're in. Maybe if there was an injury or two, then okay, but to have this collect of talent and be, not only not in first, but to be under .500 is unacceptable, and I realize I'm wasting my breath, but someone needs to be held accountable.

but the difference is, we were going for it this year, as the cubs were making adjustments with new owners. they may suck, but it is due to the transition.

fighting chance? **** no. the standings to a lot of us are just false hope.

like 901 said, someone has to be held accountable. if the tiger who were having pitching issues for a couple of weeks, with actual bad pitchers, and they fire their pitching coach....why cant we do the same with our hitting coach. the sox blow my mind everyday.

I know a majority of Sox fans want to see Greg Walker gone but I don't think it's going to make much of a difference. The Cubs fired their hitting coach Gerald Perry mid-way through 2009 and the Cubs still finished the season in the lower half of the NL in hitting.

Good chance its not, buts that's not the the point. Year after year we change hands in the line-up, and always the same result (sans 2006), maybe its not his fault, but it shows that the Sox brass are fed up with the hitting and they're going to fire the guy who coaches that.

Its not like the Sox don't fire people, didn't they fire Razor Shines and that Korean bullpen coach after 2007?

It might go higher than the hitting coach then. You may have to start looking at the GM. He's the one who brought in guys like Juan Pierre, Alex Rios, Adam Dunn. He's also the guy who let Jim Thome go, looking back at last year...it would have been really nice to still have Thome in that lineup rather than that DH by committee thing Guillen was doing with players like Mark Kotsay etc.

I don't think you can really blame KW. Looking at their track records who would of thought Dunn would only have 8 HR going into the All-Star break? Who would of thought Alex Rios would decline so rapidly. Dunn had a really good career in Cincy, Arizona, Washington before coming here, Rios had a good, not great, career with Toronto overall. Swisher too, etc.

Players come and go but one variable is always the same.

To me there was always some concern with Rios, he had some nice years in Toronto but then started to fall off a bit his last year in Toronto when he was put on waivers. Last year, he got it together again but now that looks like a fluke. I don't think it's as surprising as one might think that Rios is declining. With Dunn, I think you're always taking a risk when you sign a player in their 30's. Some begin to decline, some not but the risk is there. I will say though, even despite the fact that he's never played in the AL, for Dunn to have only 8 HRs to this point is very surprising.

I don't know, I still think a lot of the blame has to go to Williams.

Idk, maybe I'm just in denial, but I think Rios will bounce back. Probably when its too late though.

Its a risk, but going into the season it was a moderate risk. Nobody saw this coming. Everyone figured power hitter + USCF = :cum:.

He, along with Rios, are slowly starting to get things moving, very slowly, but slowly. Am I expecting a HUGE post-All Star break? Nay. But if he hits .230/.330/10HR, as putrid as it is, I'd consider it a success.

I don't know, I still think a lot of the blame has to go to Williams.

Most years Kenny gives us the tools to win and we fail. Not saying he hasn't made his mistakes though.

todays game was a head scratcher. 5 runs in the first, Dunn homers, and we play like we already won the game for the next couple innings, till we turn back into this years team and lose it.

Gammo on WEEI this morning says he expects Ozzie will be fired at the break...and said KW knows his neck is on the line - The Chairman is very, very unhappy.

Ozzie could well be managing the Marlins by next weekend he added. Ozzie, from all accounts, is headed to Miami...let him go now.

Losing against the division is getting really old. If Ozzie isn't canned, then **** the clowns running this crap.
