Possible. How strange is it that 2 professional hockey players named Kane are accused of rape in the same city, Buffalo. Very, very odd.

IMHO it depends on how many people with the last name of "Kane" are in Buffalo and the incidence rate of secual assault in Buffalo. It's probably more odd than 2 guys with the last name of Smith being accused of Rape in NYC.

Still, taking this the same as in Buttery Pat's case: Not making any judgement until *facts* from reliable sources are revealed.

Either way, this seems like a wildly different scenario than the prior one. While Evander Kane is also in the NHL, he's not a Buffalo native and he wasn't about to be on the cover of NHL 16. Nowhere near as high profile.

If the victim happens to be white, DA will be all over this. If victim was black, he probably lets it go.
