Actually they got that wrong and he lived into the 60s or 70s IIRC.

I know the Pacific was pretty good, but I have to say I still liked Band of Brothers better. I liked the characters on Band of Brothers. Maybe I just prefer stuff about the European Theater better.

Well in BoB you grow up with Easy Company. In The Pacific it's more disjointed so you're like "Yay Basilone, who the hell is this Sledge guy, woah SNAFU is messed in the head" etc.

Yep, I own the DVD collection. Must have watched each episode at least 10 times. Awesome series.
