Stuck at Ohare. Spent two hours on the plane but never left the gate. Then find out we have a mechanical problem so we have to deplane. We're sposed to wait for an agent to explain what's happening. No one comes out. Twenty minutes later an announcement that we might get going in a hour an half and we all get twelve dollar food court vouchers. Yay! Ask how to get said voucher. I'm directed to line that looks like I'll have to wait another hour in.

Oh well, just wanted to vent.

For years I had the Spirit Airlines credit card because they were cheap. I finally gave it up b/c I was sick of the extra "hidden" fees and the crappy treatment. Got the Southwest rewards card last year and I'm so happy. I have so many points.

Anecdotally I have heard half a dozen similar stories about AA in the last two weeks. Coincidence? Sounds like they have gone from one of the best to shit.

Luckily I have family in the area so I stayed there. They may have paid for a hotel for some people but I heard they were full.
