It was great finally seeing the Hawks win the majority of the face-offs last night... 57% to be exact. Here is the breakdown:

Madden 80% (12 out of 15)
Toews 59% (16 out of 27)
Sharp 55% (10 out of 18)
Bolland 38% (5 out of 13)

For as much as I love Bolland, he has been destroyed in the circle this series. 42% in Game 1 and a drastic 10% in Game 2. The figures aren't overly surprising though seeing as he is typically around 40%.

Winning in the circle is a good goal for the fact it can create more quality scoring chances and take pressure off the D-men. With the minutes Seabrook and Keith are logging it does help.

After saying that, what do I really know... seeing as winning in the circle or not, the Hawks are up 3-0. Bring it again tomorrow boys and we can really start getting fired up.

Yeah, one of the things that I noticed was our domination on face-offs. Reminded me of Stan Makita back in the day. It gives the team such a great advantage and all one has to do is look at the results.
