I think they show the amount the Hawks charge for a seat as the "face value," even if the STH pays less. Unfortunately, because the Hawks charge more than the STH price for most seats, we're not allowed to sell for less than the Hawks' charge when we sell our seats via TicketExchange. Knock wood, thus far we haven't had a problem selling ours in the 300 level but we would sell at closer to our cost if we could.
Also, I'd like to say that for some reason, every time I see this thread's title I think of Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte. But I'm fairly sure I'm losing it.
Our tickets show face value as $50.00, and that is what they cost us. 44 games x $50.00 = $2,200.00.
So as a STH we did not pay less than face value for our tickets.
