Fantasy Basketball League?

Okay gang...I have posted a message about the lineups on the league site. Basically, people need to have their lineups ready every week. Having top notch players on the bench wasted is senseless. It takes a small amount of time and can be done ahead of time...I set my lineup every Sunday for the week and make adjustments with acquisitions.

You can actually set lineups through the whole year...so I hope people will pay attention and put a little extra time into setting their lineup.

You basicly want us to let every player play when possible and not letting them sit on the bench, right?

No, you do not have to play every player...it might be best to leave a player off if he might hurt you in a certain area...but for example, if you leave Steve Nash off, or half of your roster is on the bench, expect me to ask you what you are doing and why? You can set your lineups daily if you want, as long as you have filled out your lineup for the day.

So let´s say on the last day of a week I have many assists more than the guy I play against and I decide not to play Nash because I´m scared of hurting my FG percantage for example because I have a close lead there, too. Would this be against the rules?

No...not at all...

If I notice you getting trounced 8-0 during that week and you have your best players on the bench, then I am going to wonder what is going on. But strategy is an important part of the game...

But why should I bench my best player if I´m down 8-0. Doesn´t make any sense for me.

exactly! Why would you? That would be my question...and would arouse my suspicion and hopefully other owners...

I don't think you have anything to worry about...I just want everyone to be aware...

Also...to avoid what happened this past year...you are allowed to have a stand in for you when in the draft and other events. That way, if you cannot make the draft...you won't get stuck with a crappy team. Just let me know ahead of time that someone else is taking your place....

May 17th is the deadline to let me know if you are going to play next year. If you do not inform me, your team will be open and new owners will be able to buy your franchise. So if you intend to play the game next season, you need to email me asap...thanks

I will let you know what teams are available that day, I will tell you the rosters and I will give you a chance(along with whoever else wants to jump in), to choose from remaining teams, it could be 3 or 4 teams, it could be half the league...

On the 18th the NBA holds its lottery, from their lottery, we decide our first round for the draft in October. If it is confusing, I will explain in more detail if you want, shoot me an email for more info, but there is already one team available and you are number 1 on the list so you will have your pick...

there are a couple of sites that handle the payments, the baseball league I am in now uses them. That is why I am setting it up early...people can make payments a little at a time if necessary but I will let all owners know soon.
