Started to read this thread and had to stop as I am still 3 episodes behind on the DVR. just gonna say it has been suprisingly good. I did not watch the first year so I am still in the dark about the few times they have shown the aliens spaceship. Like the night the kid shot up the waffle shop.

In the latest episode the alien ship showing up when it did was strange timing, but uneventful and really, insignificant. But yes season 2 better than the 1st, Billy Bob was outstanding in the 1st season doe.

If by unnecessary you mean crucially important and pivotal, I agree. If that Caulkin kid doesn't get nailed while starring at the UFO none of this shit goes down, or it goes down very differently.

I'm kidding, I get it, it seems random, arbitrary, and in the wrong show. But the shows not over yet, and if you saw season one you already know what happens to 2 of the characters.
