Been watching The Shield, and Vic Mackey is awesome. He's moved into my favorites with Dexter Morgan and Walter White. Honestly never thought this show would be this good. For video games, there's only one, Kratos. So who are your favorite anti-heroes?

I just personally can't see any of them as anti-heroes when they were just trying to be free men. It's not the same as Tony Soprano, Walter White, Dexter, Vic, Leon, Hannibal, etc. at least IMO.

Well none of them are traditional anti-heros but I certainly see less than noble intentions and actions from both of them.

I finished The Shield last year and holy **** that was one of my favorite series of all time. My god.

Don't even put Vic Mackey in the same paragraph as Dexter. That show blew ass lol.

No but seriously, ENJOY the ride with The Shield-- so fucking awesome. The ending will literally leave you so mindfucked, I kid you not I fell off of my chair when I saw it and called my buddy at like midnight haha.

The first four season of Dexter were better than the entire Shield series, and Dexter was the driving force behind that. It's a shame they got greedy and stretched the show, because they made him get completely out of character. Had they went the Breaking Bad route, that show would've been the greatest of all time IMO. Also, I'm coming up on the end of The Shield, only a few left. I really hope Shane gets his comeuppances. I've hated that ****** almost since the show started.

Just finished the shield, I got to say, I loved and hated the ending at the same time. Ronnie was one of the better characters and he got a raw deal. Great show though, definitely moved up to my top 5 with Breaking Bad, Dexter, Burn Notice, and Spartacus.

not for Canadians

:hitler:

for anyone who liked "Confederacy of Dunces", you should check out the work of Tristan Egolf's "Lord of the Barnyard". Smart writer who cut his life short too early

Honestly don't think I've read a book that had an anti-hero, unless you count McMahon's autobiography.

Canada doesn't have literature though.

Edit - and thanks for the suggest. I liked Confederacy.

Does Canada have a south where you consider all the residents weirdos, or do you just call that 'Murica?

No, but we have rednecks in Alberta and flakes on the West Coast. Then there's Quebec ... hmmm ....
