Looking up to my brother like he was a king. When in reality he was just a shithead teenager like I would turn out to be. Those were the good days. Playing outside until the sun went down. Trolling AOL chatrooms, wrestling on the trampoline when WCW/WWF was the shit (we had tin-foil/cardboard belts made...it was legit), truth or dare with the neighbor sluts, etc.

I just miss the general feeling of the good ole' days. However my most fond/favorite childhood memory is watching Bears/Bulls games with my dad. Would give anything to just have 1-2 hours to watch a game with him again. Back then I didn't pay attention too much or would be doing something else. Would love to pick his brain about the many shortcomings of any current Chicago sports team. Don't take your parents for granted people!

Favorite childhood memory? 5th grade, I was on the Cubs for rec ball, and we were in th first playoff game against the Nats. I came up to the plate in extra innings, bottom half, and singled to right to win the game, but it was my first walk off hit so I rounded the bases like a home run and all the Nats kids were like "throw the ball in." but I got around and was mobbed at the plate and my mom was crying. great day.

So are you in High School then or how did the Nats exist when you were in 5th grade?

It was the end of my 8th grade year, and I just went to the park, like usual because I played religiously, and 10 minutes after running around and warming up, I went for the "Yeah, I wish I could" dunk, and low and behold, it went right in. I didn't dunk a whole lot that summer, but for that day, I made my hands blistered and bleed on the rims without a care in the world. Not the best day of my life by any means. But the day I finally dunked on a legit 10' rim. I didn't dunk much for the rest of the summer because of my hands, but come freshman year, and another 1.5" taller, I just went nuts.

I'm 17 and going to be a freshman in college but I know for a fact it was 5th grade because it was 2005, the same year the Sox won the World Series and 2005 was one of the first seasons the Nats were in Washington, I'm lucky because the year=my grade level. I was a senior this year, school year ended in 2012, junior last year school year ended in '11, and so on

As an adult, there's no better feeling than getting to visit with my parents on Sunday, especially during football season. I love getting over to my parents' house around 11, drink some tea and read the paper. My dad usually has NFL Countdown on mute because, as he puts it, "I swear to God, there is no reason for all six of those idiots to start talking at once. Christ almighty, just shut the hell up." I've got a superstition that I can't make lunch until the first points are scored in whatever game we're watching.

Week 1 is always even more special because my mom always makes chili for lunch. I'm also pretty sure the Bears' game is going to be on national TV, so it's going to be cool getting to see them go up against Andrew Luck during their first week. The last time I wasn't able to watch Week 1 with my dad was when I was living in Kansas City -- he ended up being diagnosed with cancer the following April, so the last two years I've made sure that there's a zero percent chance I work on that Sunday. I'm really superstitious when it comes to family.

-Watching 4th of July fireworks from our boat on Lake Michigan, used to spend my summers where we had it docked@Montrose harbor.
-Cubs/Bears games w/dad, back when tics were affordable, both teams sucked, and we didn't care that both teams sucked b/c the time spent w/family was more important.
-When 18, I attended the 1986 NFC divisional playoff game against the Giants w/dad. To be able to say I was there for the magical year was truly special, and as it turned out dad passed away soon thereafter.

Playing catch w/ dad....scored game-winning goals in youth soccer...watching sporting events w/ my family....I remember being in youth league baseball....my team advanced to the championship w/ me drawing a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 7th (last inning)...then won the championship two days later.

Best childhood memory is when I scored my first ever goal in ice hockey....I was so excited. lol

Also tied with my own rendition of a 'flu game' like MJ had. haha

Strep Throat, body aching, sick as a dog...played in my teams playoff game, had a hat trick, 2 assists and 4 penalties (2 elbowing and 2 tripping) haha

I have plenty of great childhood memories of playing sports that I'm proud of. But when you see your kid doing something great, it's soo much better. I never realized this until my daughter started playing softball.

The very first game she ever played in she had a walk-off hit in extra innings to win the game.

Even though she was only 7, it was coach-pitch, and the ball only went about 5 feet in front of the plate, it was a great moment.
