What are your favorite meals? Main course, sides, throw a beverage in there if you want. Here are a few of mine to get it rolling...

Relatively Healthy:

Grilled Salmon with steamed asparagus and wild rice. (actually what I ate for dinner tonight)

Not So Healthy:

A big fat rib eye, medium rare. Loaded baked potato and a Ceasar salad. I also dig red wine with steak, e.g. Cabernet.

What else ya got....

A free range, 100% grass fed bison filet cooked medium rare. Olive oil roasted red potatoes that I grew myself. Some sort of veggie that I grew myself as well. Really anything after the bison filet doesn't matter, this meal is all about that

I've never had a bison filet. Sounds like I need to try it. Not sure where I could get my hands on that though.

We've also done Lamb Chops and Greek Salad.

I like blue crabs. But they are kind of a pain in the ass to eat. I guess if you ate them enough, you would get good at it though. For me it''s a once a year or so.

I like steak for breakfast.

Hell ya. I do too. I've done that a few times, but it's been awhile. Steak and eggs...awesome. Pretty good way to start the day.

For breakfast -- Love whole-grain waffles with some fruit compote and whipped cream, homemade hash browns, and a huge glass of orange juice.

Lunch -- Broccoli cheddar soup with a pulled pork sandwich (KC style with pickles, provolone cheese and onion) and sweet tea

Dinner -- Full slab of ribs (KC style), homemade mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, cornbread and fried apples

Dessert -- Either key lime pie or dutch apple with a scoop of vanille ice cream

My neighbor brought me a couple of blue crabs one time that had deep fried. I honestly didn't know where to start. I think they got thrown away.

If you need recipes on some things I can try and look some of our old ones up. We were doing a Saturday night thing where we would cook a meal at home and invite people. Kind of got slack since school started.

Ya man, that would be awesome. I cook a lot and really enjoy it. Lately I've kind of been burnt out though, time to try some new stuff. That whole Saturday night thing is funny...it is something that we have bounced around the idea of trying to get a group of people to do for years, but never got around to it. My idea was to rotate around different types of food and everyone bring something that fit the theme (e.g. Greek one week, Indian another, Italian, Soul Food, Cajun, seafood only etc etc). Most of my friends are single though and / or without kids...so it would be tough anyways to pin down people to do something like that. Get together, eat a bunch of good shit and hang out a little. I need more friends who enjoy cooking and that would be down for that sort of thing.

It's very similar to beef but a lot better for you. I'm enjoying a bison sirloin right now actually, cooked a little rarer than usual but still delicious. If there's a Sprouts near you they should have some, that's where I got these. Or just fire up the google machine

Nope, they all look like they are concentrated out west primarily. Will do some investigation locally though. Never know.
