Was it a tube problem? Because pretty much all tube amps have to be handled very gently; and even if you do, tubes still burn out/break pretty commonly.

I think it might have been a design problem or a problem with the reverb tank itself...The reverb tank was too big for the cabinet and rubbed against the speaker..That caused a feedback whenever I used the reverb. They tried insulating it with foam, but that didnt work. It was one of the first ones made, so Im betting they switched to a smaller reverb tank down the road after a few complaints. Mesa wasnt too forthcoming with me..Im glad the dealer was stand up

Yeah..After several tries to fix it at warranty repair,I called Mesa..I know they have a good reputation, but they basically blew me off. Thats when the dealer offered me a refund. I dont know what fixes if any they have implemented since

Get you a nice Ibanez K7. I wish I could afford one of those haha

I'd love a Les Paul, as they are iconic, and great guitars. I have an old Squire and an Ibanez.

Ibanez came out of nowhere into the mainstream of guitars, which instantly over-rated them. But I think now that the dust settled, they have become under-appreciated just as quick as they became over-rated. Of course, neck-through only. Bolt-ons are merely par among many other good guitars. Well, that, and the edge-types can be a real pain to maintain if you aren't a Floyd Rose trem person(yes, it takes a certain person, either love or hate). I love a good Floyd Rose, good being the key, and aside from the low-pro and edge pro, Ibanez's FRs are VERY inconsistent.

And BTW guys, talking about amps. About 10 years ago I started a site for amp building. About 4 years ago, sole ownership was transfered to a guy by the name of joecool, and it was mainly his baby, and his idea to start this type of site. It's mainly for solid state DIY amps with schematics for many things amp, not just solid state. Tubes are welcome, as well as hybrid. All kinds of building and repair talk.

www.ssguitar.com <-was mine, and the forum is kept up. I don't know if joe kept the wiki up, or the effects/preamp subdomains(I gathered all kinds of builders sites from around the web, talked to them, got them off generic 3rd level domain hosting, and transfered their sites over). Some of the side sites on ssguitar are by guys that opened their design sources to the public, and have passed away since(incredible what happens in a decade). Please, if you're interested, check it out. Joe is a good guy too, very knowledgeable and helpful. Good spirits.

playing bass - I go fender. Although there some beautiful warm sounding Gibson hollow body basses. With guitars, I like playing slide on the Gibson sg due to the access point all the way up the neck. But teles get nasty funky with that honky tonk grit.
