Fields & Borom Are The Future

I think today was the 2nd time this year that Fields throws a good deep ball and the WR slowed right when he releases it to look back and then barely can't reach it. He did miss one other he should of had today.

It's remarkable how tight Vildor can play yet never break up the pass. I guess you can't teach to be taller.

Said it in the game thread. I have never seen a CB so consistently play fairly good coverage and still get beat like a rented mule as much as Vildor. It is uncanny.

he could be good depth, but making that guy the #2 corner was as bad a move as pace has had in his tenure minus Mitch

Wrong way around. He is doing Desai no favors. The dude's got an almost perfect passer rating against at 139. Are you going to suggest Desai should have a S babysit him on every single play?
I’m suggesting as the coordinator perhaps use some creativity to cover up the turd at #2 cb. They go after him all game

Vildor is too small. He also gets steamed rolled by receivers when teams run sweeps his way. No help on outside runs.

Again you can't babysit a CB all game. They play 2 deep and Cover 3 a lot but there are times you are going to have to play one on one especially if you blitz. Like seriously WTF, this is the NFL. You can't play the same coverage every single play.

The announcers even said that anytime they saw the Bears in man, they targeted Vildor so you acting like Desai had him on an island all game. It is just the case that once they got a man look, the Steelers went after Vildor so unless you are claiming we never play man, he needs to get his shit together.

In the nfl if you can’t get pressure with 4 lineman you will usually lose unless you have great talent in the secondary.

it all comes down to line play. Always has always will.

Any smart qb would do the same when they realize a scrub is in man coverage against one of your guys.

so now we are doing the pagano thing to desai?

k

No, Pagano still sucked. Desai is closer to Fangio in terms of creativity like on the Quan sack where he still only rushed 4 but Steelers totally missed blocking Quan. He has also schemed a few sacks where he will blitz but then have the blitzer just take out Mack or Quinn's man like a S where DHC's only job is to run into Mack's man so a RB get's stuck blocking Mack one on one.

If 3/4ths of the secondary wasn't ass, this would be a top 10 D.

There's a limit to how many poor players a coordinator can cover up.

Yeah I mean holy ****. They had 2 safeties deep on another play and Big Ben just floats a ball down the middle of the field and no S is within 5 yards of breaking it up. The WR just leisurely catches it.

Yeah, I expected the infield fly rule to be in effect.

Makes a lot of sense too, since Jaylon Johnson is looking like a stud. And also underrated.
