Wentz understood offensive schemes much better. Fields is basically at the Trubisky level of understanding right now.
I was very happy the Bears got Fields but after last year the hope is greatly diminished.
He's got a lot of work to do to get to be a franchise player. He needs to make a huge leap to be competitive.
Rodgers coming back to the Pack makes it harder as well to win the NFC north as well.
Bingo! This is the number 1 reason he MUST change his throwing motion. No ifs, ands or buts about it. That's the reason he was tied for, or near the top for most fumbles. In only 10 games!!! If he doesn't correct his delivery the fumbles WILL continue. I've already given him a nickname of JF3. Which stands for......Justin "Fumble Fingers" Fields. I truly hope that I can recant this nickname in the near future.in his setup his hand is below his elbow. That motion takes a bit longer to release, but it also puts the ball in a risky spot "because pass rushers can swipe at the ball causing a fumble."
Interesting. I've heard talks about this before?
Report: Are Chicago Bears concerned with Justin Fields throwing motion? | CHICITYSPORTS - Chicago Sports Blog - News - Forum - Rumors - Fans
According to a report from The Athletic, the Chicago Bears will focus on Justin Fields' mechanics this offseason.www.chicitysports.com
work on improving his mechanics so long as it doesn't screw up his mechanics.
His mechanics were one of the things that stood out to me when I watched highlights of him for the first time. You can't have a slow release and slow processing speed, otherwise you are going to get killed. At least one of those things need to change coming into next season.
Yes the same ones that said he was not a hard worker etc. He will be fine and agree with your comments.I think someone mentioned it briefly in another article over the weekend.
My take: I wouldn't sacrifice a guys arm talent in order to improve his release by a few milliseconds. How about just doing a better job protecting him, give him more weapons to work with and a real American offensive system?
These "unnamed execs" love to nit pick and have opposing teams running around in circles.
