Kind of like the 2.0 to my Boozer thread. http://www.chicitysports.com/forum/chicago-bulls-forum/2555-assuming-we-sign-boozer-how-do-you-build-around-core.html
PG-Derrick Rose
SG-Ronnie Brewer
SF-LUoLZ Deng
PF-Carlos Boozer
C- Joakim Noah
6th- SF Kyle Korver
7th- PF Taj Gibson
8th- C Omer Asik
9th- PG CJ Watson
10th-SG_________
11th-C__________
12th-___________
13th-SF James Johnson(keep him at the end of the bench)
So our starting 5 is set and we have a legitimate PF backup and outside shooter in Korver. We definitely need a reliable and more NBA proven C. A couple backup guards are needed as well. I think we have about 9M left to spend but if anyone has the actual #s, please post it.
First step, trading a couple picks to Portland would be great if acquiring Rudy Fernandez. He could fill in a lot of minutes at SG, to keep Brewers hammy healthy. He's a great spark off the bench.
If not Rudy, theres still Roger Mason JR and T-Mac. I think the price you would pay for Mason would be great.
Brad Miller should be brought back. He's really worked well with Noah on and off the court. With a more limited role, he could be more efficient on the floor. Other options at C are Joel Anthony, Shaq or we can get another Jazz player in that Fesenko guy just for shits and gigs. Shaq is a great backup option IMO and it looks like he might come even cheaper than everyone expects. It will probably only be a 1 year deal. Imagine a couple wide bodies like Shaq and Boozer.
PG is tricky. Not a lot of great options out there but your team can only be so deep. Eddie House would be another good 3pt shooter to add but i personally cant stand the guy. Jason Williams is a veteran option that still has a little juice left. I know many around here are high on Law returning. Carlos Arroyo is a decent backup option.
Then theres still Matt Barnes out there who supposedly has a few new teams on his mind right now.
UPDATE July 20th: Bulls sign CJ Watson. We got our backup PG. Again, my numbers arent exact but i think we have around 5.7M left but it could very well be less.
