Kind of like the 2.0 to my Boozer thread. http://www.chicitysports.com/forum/chicago-bulls-forum/2555-assuming-we-sign-boozer-how-do-you-build-around-core.html

PG-Derrick Rose
SG-Ronnie Brewer
SF-LUoLZ Deng
PF-Carlos Boozer
C- Joakim Noah

6th- SF Kyle Korver
7th- PF Taj Gibson
8th- C Omer Asik
9th- PG CJ Watson
10th-SG_________
11th-C__________
12th-___________
13th-SF James Johnson(keep him at the end of the bench)

So our starting 5 is set and we have a legitimate PF backup and outside shooter in Korver. We definitely need a reliable and more NBA proven C. A couple backup guards are needed as well. I think we have about 9M left to spend but if anyone has the actual #s, please post it.

First step, trading a couple picks to Portland would be great if acquiring Rudy Fernandez. He could fill in a lot of minutes at SG, to keep Brewers hammy healthy. He's a great spark off the bench.

If not Rudy, theres still Roger Mason JR and T-Mac. I think the price you would pay for Mason would be great.

Brad Miller should be brought back. He's really worked well with Noah on and off the court. With a more limited role, he could be more efficient on the floor. Other options at C are Joel Anthony, Shaq or we can get another Jazz player in that Fesenko guy just for shits and gigs. Shaq is a great backup option IMO and it looks like he might come even cheaper than everyone expects. It will probably only be a 1 year deal. Imagine a couple wide bodies like Shaq and Boozer.

PG is tricky. Not a lot of great options out there but your team can only be so deep. Eddie House would be another good 3pt shooter to add but i personally cant stand the guy. Jason Williams is a veteran option that still has a little juice left. I know many around here are high on Law returning. Carlos Arroyo is a decent backup option.

Then theres still Matt Barnes out there who supposedly has a few new teams on his mind right now.

UPDATE July 20th: Bulls sign CJ Watson. We got our backup PG. Again, my numbers arent exact but i think we have around 5.7M left but it could very well be less.

I can see Brad Miller coming back. I could also see the Bulls making a trade for Rudy or signing Barnes. And, the Bulls re-signing. With the last spots, taken from the summer league.

I want to bring in Shaq. That guy could cause huge match up problems for teams when you look at the combination of skill we'd have in Noah, Boozer, Shaq, and Asik. Noah and Asik are very mobile. Noah can pass and so can Shaq. Shaq and Boozer are some nice widebodies too. A lot of interesting combinations can come out of that.

Shaq should join us on the very low so we he can give us another piece against Miami. Theres a part of me that believes that Shaq wants to beat them.

Shaq could be headed to Atlanta in a S&T with the Cavs for Marvin Williams.

BTW, I just heard that Rose is currently our only player under contract who is under 6'7".

I don't know, is that good or bad? I know it's good for rebounding.

Cant complain about length. I like it.

I thought that S&T to ATL died out.

Its not bad. We have a starting lineup that is all over 6'7" its also a lineup that has probably the most athletic 1/2 combo. We're not giving up height to be more athletic or vice versa.

OK cool, I hope it works out for the best.

I see the Bulls re-signing Miller, Law, and I'd love for Matt Bouldin to make the roster.

My roster said:
PG-Derrick Rose
SG-Ronnie Brewer
SF-LUoLZ Deng
PF-Carlos Boozer
C- Joakim Noah

SF Kyle Korver
PF Taj Gibson
C Omer Asik
PG CJ Watson
PF/C Samardo Samuels
SF James Johnson
SG Matt Bouldin

Just my opinion. Maybe sign Shannon Brown which most likely boots Bouldin to the D-League.

I wouldn't have those guys in that order for the way I'd like to see them come off the bench but that's a different discussion.

Honestly, Shaq and Rudy would be sick at this point but i dont see Shaq coming here for only a few mill. I also think Rudy would like to talk contract extensions and what not.

At this point i would try to get Shaq for 4M and just resign Flip(vet min) or sign Tmac(Vet min) or Brown(min).

Get Shaq, then dump Johnson and pick up a couple of decent role players. Works for me.

Theyre saying that Shaq wants at least 6M per but no team is willing to give him more than 2 lol.
