Those are just The Rosters.. not who is playing unless 2 injured Dmen are playing. Poor Dano and Johns

I'm curious to see what the lines will be. I'd rather not have Hammer-Daley be a pairing for this team. I'd rather split them in anyway possible really.

Desjardins-Kruger-Baun

That's from Laz on Twitter just now.

Svedberg and Seabs is a big pair. Interestingly what could go on as the lineup if Rundblad will be continually sat again.

Panarin with 2 assists off shots. Remember when some people here thought he was just as likely or some even more likely to not make the team and go back to Russia than make the team? I literally only read that view on here. :smug2:

^^^ That gap reminds me of an old girlfriend. :rimshot:

Panarin looked good, especially for his debut. He seems to have some sick hands...and I really like Daley's O upside. Garbutt looks like he belongs already.

All hail Stan...mostly...for now anyway.

He was tired of not having any good shots to stop, so he did a few shots o Gatorade, and went home.

In other words...all is just fine.

Q said Crawford pulled for precautionary reasons. Felt a little tight. No worries. "He won't miss a day," Q said.

I'm hoping a .gif comes out of Panarin's dangles in the first period. That was sick.

Yeah well what can you say ... lots of bandwagoners with bandwagon opinions which are scooped up into bandwagon opinion bags and dumped in the trash cans in the park..

Frankly it's about what those are worth.

... looking forward to watching 72 play games that count -but that, tonight was nuts - he looked like Kane hopped up on Red Bull...

I was impressed with how Svedberg played last night. Definitely better than Rundblad.

Well well. and 2 near goals that ended assists also because they nearly beat the keeper and splayed them. Easy goals by Hossa and Kane created by Panarin.

He looks like he can for sure replace production level of losing either Sharp or Saad. People talked me off it but now I want him back on the first line.

Panarin-Toews-Hossa
Baun-AA-Kane
Bickell-Toews-Garbutt
Desjardins-Kruger-Shaw

Tikhonov, Hartman, Dano will be back soon when Bickell clears out, or after first injury and a little Hawks seasoning under less pressure and fire.

I'm still against losing Bickell. IMO, we need more guys like Shaw, Garbutt, Bickell, Baun, Kruger....or rather the balance is getting there with the additions. Sharp was a dangerous forechecker with his stick but not enforcer/agitator that forced respect. Saad commanded physical respect but picked his spots.

This season is going to be interesting. Anyone else think Daley skates around activity wise a lot like Keith? I can't wait to see them pair together occasionally, but I see how we are best served with just one of them on the ice at a time. Daley should really help limit Keiths minutes when necessary.

Special teams seem like they might have improved with Panarin added to power play, Desjardins experience with team, and a young gun like Baun.

We are still a nasty team, and many teams may be disheartened when they realize Dano, AA, Garbutt, Baun, Panarin, Tikhonov, Daley make us a better hockey skill team, a deeper team, and a more physical team. We got younger, scrappier, and didn't lose much skill. We lost a little, Richards, Saad, Sharpie is a dump truck load lost. We brought in two dump trucks of next tier quality. Should be an interesting first 10 games.

Igor Radulov also looked good in his first few games for the Blackhawks.

To be fair I didn't see the game so I can't judgement on Panarin, but everybody keeps raving about him so hopefully he's as good as hyped.

Saw the video of Panarin, that was nasty.

so were his shots on goal. 1st one saved by the keepers legs flayed up in air behind him, Hossa tapped it home.

He had some wild sweeping shots on target from traffic areas, where he turned and shot showing some good skills and surprise element to his game. He should fit nicely here and not just gobble up chances created by our playmakers, but be yet another playmaker who creates chances for others.
