rewrite of duh rough draft n shitty line sketches of book 1 is nearly complete.. @ page 20.. got 5-10 left to go.. depends on how i wanna wrap it up..

amazon be weird.

the markets be different. in usa my book is ranked 1142 in beginner readers.. sales in usa + the sales in aus dont sync and combine in public stats.. nor do duh sales from any other markets..

in amazon australia im #2 on the best sellers list... chapter books & readers.. whatever categories they put me in that i didnt.

in reality.. ive only sold a few books in aus.. which shows how bad the aussie amazon market be.... at the same time amazon.com.au just launched within the last 4-6 months...

and just like that.. i was knocked down a notch by a cheaper book...

yeah.. its also high for amazon in a sense but im not giving it away. not this book. there are other future filler projects that i'll price at the 2.99 mark. BUT my top characters are staying at 9.99. If there was a paperback option for sale, id list that one high and drop the ebook.

ppl generally price 2.99-9.99 USD due to amazon royalties (that 11.99 be AUD). between that price, amazon gives you 70% minus 0.15 cent per MB. anything under or over this price and amazon gives you 35% plus the MB charge. Apple Ibooks is a little more friendly but they required you to purchase a real ISBN#. those are about 125 a piece or about 250 for 5 from online sources.

im just trying to sell a few books while i build up a little catalog.... while not trying to waste any money on it -- just me time. ill seek out a legit lit agent and publisher once my catalog is at 5 or mores titles i actually like. over the long term, if i think me books suck, ill juss drop the prices and move on to other things in life. I'm not spending money on promotions/marketing

I actually applied for a NSW, Aus artist grant sponsored by the gov. If That goes through, ill put that towards me books. grant is up to 1500, but i asked for 750 for a used mac mini or old mac pro, some isbn #'s and hosting costs for a website ill build to sell pdf versions of me books. But i have to wait til July to find out if its approved. If it is approved, coming back for a second grant would be easier if i showed them i kept me word. I would use a second round towards more isbn#s and advertisement.

i have a way to publish to ibooks via duh pc and ipad, but it would be quicker and easier using a mac. i just needed to fill up the grant application some.

I had read that only about 10% of people leave reviews anyway. I could go out and buy reviews from services. BUT im not getting into that game. Amazon can ban you if they catch you.

Im just focused on building me library really. The oldest most reputable agency/publisher in Australia requires authors in my genre to have been published already. So technically... i fit that bill now.

If you want to buy a copy and leave a 5 star review.. i aint stopping u. aint no pressure either if you dont want to.. im actually gonna ask crys to delete me ccs acct in the future to clean shit up and come back as someone else....im going donate the 10 bucks from whomever bought it from here... back to da ccs.
