It's pretty hard to get to the MLS, you have to go through amateur levels first most of the time and then the USL-Pro and NASL then Reserve League, then MLS. And roster spots are more limited with there being only 18 teams right now. But he should definitely give it a shot, and sure, try out... but be sure it is for the Fire. :)

BTW, it will become an easier process to go pro with more teams joining the MLS as expansion teams methinks.

i should really join up this fall, at my community college, and you never know, i was pretty good when i was your age, and i still play FIFA :troll: why not. but i encourage him to play more and follow it, but hes too busy with his iphone and hanging out with his friends, so now that hes on break i tell him nearly ever other day, I really put em through a work out. He just needs to bulk up and run more. but hes getting there.

Ya, one of my brothers is pretty good... but he doesn't seem to have a natural position anymore, but he's playing a year or two above his age level... and now he wants to skip a season before trying out for high school... pretty much ruining it. Other brother already quit, and the youngest plays soccer in the Fall and baseball in the Spring... best forward/midfielder on his soccer team and best contact hitter, power hitter, and base runner on his baseball team and has that flashy glove... he could have a career in soccer somewhere down the line, but he's only 8 :)troll:) and baseball seems to be more natural for him IMO.

But he definitely has the mentality to be a hockey or soccer player... but he'd get way too many penalties... he was clothes lining kids and pushing them over when he was 4 years old, lol. Also scored less than 3 seconds into a game once (I'm legit serious) and had an Ovechtrick once, lol.

But the one brother who already quit, same thing as your's... he won't get off the video games long enough to practice or scrimmage or anything. He doesn't have an iPhone though, he's addicted to a bad baseball game called MLB Dugout Heroes for the PC, lol.
