Fireworks Question

So on the 4th you expect fireworks to be shot off in the neighborhood. No big deal. But at what point is it too late? I've got people shooting LOUD fucking mortars off at 1:30 in the morning by me. I've got a sleeping 2 year old and a dog who thinks it's WW3 outside.

If your shooting fireworks off at that time of night you're just an asshole right?

Yes, that is a dick move. The trashy neighbors down the street blew a ton up in the middle of the road and left all of the bullshit from them right in the street.

Yup.

I would say the window is 8-10ish. Any later, and you have to respect folks with babies/children, etc. I was annoyed at the people in my neighborhood doing it at 1:30 AM as well...on july 3rd.

LOL. I hope you're not calling me a passive little *****. For the record I did walk up to them and told them to cut it out. The guy didn't give a shit so I sat there and called the police while they watched. They stopped at that point. (The police had already been called by the time I called anyways. I really hope they got a ticket)

The majority of my neighbors annoy me with their fart can cars and loud music every single night(see worst city thread).

My house is insulated well, and most walls have added soundproofing on top of the rammed earth. So I haven't been bothered. I guess if I were while trying to sleep, the tone could change.

The funny thing is if this guy was doing this at 10:30 I probably would have brought a beer over. The shit he was shooting off was awesome. It was simply the time of day that was the issue for me. I know some of you are probably thinking 1:30 no big deal but when you have kids and a wife who has to be at work at 8AM then it does become an issue.

Yup, definitely an asshole move. The places where fireworks are temporarily legal around here, the cut off is at midnight. I think even that's a little late...

yea anything past midnights a complete dick move imo and wouldn't have an issue callin my neighbor and saying hey dickhead we are in bed over here but really didn't have any probs here by 1130 it was killed off

our local cops don't have much to do so they are on top of that shit fast as hell

other than set up a speed trap or two and bash a few drunks from time to time
