Howard leads all players in first All-Star Ballot returns | NBA.com

Rose is first among Eastern Conference guards. DWade is 2nd and Rondo is 3rd. Rip is 8th somehow. lol

Deng is 7th among Eastern Conference forwards. Boozer is 9th. Top 3 are Lebron, Melo, and Amare.

Dwight Howard is the top center (shocker) and Noah is 100,000 votes behind him at 2nd.

The Western starters would be Kobe, CP3, Durant, Griffin, and Bynum.

Let's keep voting to extend Rose's lead over Wade! Maybe if we're diligent enough we can get Lu in the top 5. :bullbang:

It's gonna take a lot of votes to get Lu in. That's why I haven't been doing it.

Deng will have to be voted in by coaches as a reserve. The fact that he's 7th in voting is sad though.

Yeah no way Deng's going to get into an ASG other than coach's vote. They'd probably take several players ahead of him though. Among SFs though, I'm not sure how many are shoo ins to get in before him, excluding Melo and Lebron obviously. Players that people would probably argue for are Pierce, Granger, and...who else? He'd probably be edging out Pierce for the last forward spot if he did get in...or getting in due to injury, but even then I'm not sure.

Deng should be a coach fill-in. Also, he should be higher. That's ridiculous. Sorry he's not a big name...

LULZ. Deng isn't even playing well this year so far. He's rebounding better but on offense he's a wreck right now. Dude is averaging his least amount of points right now in 3 seasons. He's also shooting barely 40%.

LOL at this board acting indignant about Deng not being higher on an All Star ballot.

I think part of the problem is that no one is looking at who's ahead of him.
LBJ
Melo
Amare
Garnett
Bosh
Pierce

LBJ and Melo are going to be in, and going to be starters most likely. Amare, Garnett, Bosh, and Pierce are meh...Deng is on their level, imo...but it's an all-star vote. Gotta be in the discussion annually to get early votes. Most ppl just vote on the big name anyway.

Guys like Bargs and Ryan Anderson easily deserve to be ahead of Deng at this point.

Amare>Deng Easily. By far
Bosh>Deng Easily by far.

Garnett and Pierce are havign shitty years right now. Just like Deng.

Bargs and Ryan Anderson easily belong ahead of Deng right now as well. That's 6 guys that deserve the AS game ahead of Deng right now. Pierce and Garnett and Deng can lay around in lameness. I haven't even stopped going through other teams for players as well. Deng is at BEST 7th at this point likely worse.

Deng should be top 5 for forwards, but I didnt expect him to get there with voting. His only chance is with the Coaches.

Good to see DRose over DWade!

Noah doesnt deserve to be an All-Star this season, there just aren't many quality centers and Noah is the biggest name.

No he shouldn't.

I can name 6 clearly having better year and who are far mor deserving.

Horford was having a better year before injury. Tyson Chandler clearly is as well. Dependong if you feel Greg Monroe is a C or F he's been better than Npah for sure and possibly Deng as well.

Statistically, Deng is having a down year. In the games, however, it's easy to note how important Deng is to the team. He should be a #3 option on O, but he's playing #2. His stats are heavily affected by the lack of offensive production at the 4 and 5, and to an extent the 2. He's playing heavy minutes because he's a necessity for the team on O and D, resulting in him having to jack up shots with weak legs and still playing heavy minutes on D.

No he shouldn't. I can name 6 clearly having better year and who are far mor deserving.

Ryan Anderson is playing well, but he has even less of a name than Deng and has shown nothing before this season. Bargs is laughable, especially on D. Pierce and Garnett, especially Pierce, have shown noticeable declines. They're only getting votes because of their name recognition.

Horford is a better player and should be an all-star. Chandler is hype imo, Noah would be better with the extra minutes. Chandler is almost playing at his best, Joakim can play a lot better. Too bad the All-Star is about the current season, so I'd go with Chandler over Joakim at this point.
