We had our best player last year. This team is improved from last year. The Heat? It's a push, maybe.

Based on?
A flukey NBA season?

My point is that the Heat, the team you think is better, the team with the two "superior superstars" both had chances to beat our "inferior" team and didn't
Ok.

So how in the world is this win a "statement" win if the Bulls nearly lost the game twice?

It's a nice regular season NBA win over a very good team by another very good team.

That's it.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

That's my "point."
Your point sucks.

As usual.

CJ Watson hits a 3 and it becomes a statement win. CJ misses a three and it's "who cares we didn't have Rose/Rose playing well". You'd rationalize this either way to make yourself feel better.

Disagree 100%. That depth is always going to help us in the regular season.
Which is not where Championships are won.

You again are too stupid to understand the bigger picture and long term issues.

You're setting yourself up to have this thread bumped in the playoffs SP94. The regular season is too early to talk when 90% of the league yawns their way through the regular season.

Honestly.

I won't.

If the Bulls lose in the playoffs I'll be disappointed as hell.

If the Bulls win. I'll be happy as hell but not surprised.

This win was exciting to watch. But it means nothing if we meet the heat in the ecf again they will be playing like a championship team. Sure if the heat limp their way through the playoffs maybe they get upset. I doubt it but this game isn't going to garentee us a win in the ecf.

LOL.

I'm a Bulls fan...but we swept the Heat last season, and look what happened in the playoffs.

While this is true. This is a budding rivalry, you HAVE to be happy about beating the heat. Athletically they are the #1 team in the NBA. We beat them when Rose's production was 2 points, and we beat them when he sat out with John Lucas.

I see no problem with the excitement. If you don't get excited over big regular season game wins, why even play them/watch them?

I've said it a few times -- I just think last year is taking its toll on Rose. Playing 40+ minutes every single night, playing in fifth gear through the entire playoffs, then having a completely messed up off-season finally took over. All the little injuries are taking him out for stretches (the turf toe, the groin and now the ankle).

This team has proven that they can win and be competitive without Rose. Hopefully, Rose can either get healthy or play through the pain and lead us to the Finals.

Do you think Detroit would trade Ben Gordon for Rose?
:derbulls:
Would that make things straighter :dunno:

No one is saying to not be happy about the win.

It's a good/really good whatever win. Be happy about it but what we(I) are saying is don't start making broad reaching conclusions/predictions/:smug: about it.

Yeah because predicting that the Heat WILL beat the Bulls again isn't a broad reaching conclusion?

You keep forgetting, he's allowed to make broad generalizations because he's an intelligent guy. Everyone else, based on being excited about their team winning an important regular season game, is an ignorant Bulls homer.

The celebration will be over as soon as the Bulls play there next game.
