Not true. Buy a 10 year old volvo and get a comfortable/practical vehicle that will last 10 more years at 10% of the original price. BEST EVAR.

Do the same thing with a Toyota and you don't get gouged on parts.

There are plenty of places online to get factory parts or factory supplier parts for dirt cheap.

Leasing is only worth it if you are a company.

My wife is taking advantage of this. She's self employed and will be able to deduct all her lease payments on her tax return, including insurance, gas, repairs, etc. There's some great lease deals going on this Memorial Day weekend, too. Like can you believe she can get into a Maserati lease for a few hundred less than what I'm paying for an Infiniti purchase? That's pretty ridiculous.

I'm also self employed, but I don't lease because I drive too much and will exceed the 10-12k annual mileage allowance by a lot. So yeah, if you can claim it as a business deduction and you don't drive a lot, then leasing is a great option.
