Yep, that beats the Rodman flop. But again, that's on the officiating for not watching the ball and assuming contact was made.

Great players shouldn't have to do this, Jordan didn't...come to think of it neither did Pip.
thats how the heat stop runs its cheating in my book.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Heat flop every play...and they almost always get the call. It's not gonna change. They will continue to get rewarded for it. Just have to play through it if you want to beat them. It's possible.

I agree, Rodman did it for the psychological advantage...different motives. Not much else 2/add other than it's clearly the NBA's responsibility to insure games are properly officiated.

And some people have the never to wonder why he doesn't get any respect from people. I don't understand why a guy that big and physically gifted feels the need to flop. Play like a man.

That's really my biggest complaint with Lebron. There's simply no reason he should flop as much as he does, but we can't totally fault him. The NBA offices have enabled these acting jobs by ignoring it for years.

I feel you but as a man you should have some level of integrity and play with some heart.

I was always one of the smallest guys on the court and I never flopped around like that. You learned to play like a man. This dude is 6'8 260 (or so) lbs. and he plays like a ***** when he can't front run and hot dog.

I'm so tired of crybaby players like James, Wade, Griffin, etc. all pulling this excessive flopping bullshit.

Stern should just throw out fines or even something as extreme as a game suspension for them. It's clearly cheating and pisses everyone off. I am one who doesn't even like it when players on my own team would pull that garbage. Get rid of it. :beerbang:

Size has nothing to do with flopping. As I stated before...Rodman did it...Divac perfected it. Dikembe Mutombo did it. Omer Asik did it against Philly! Everybody loves Nocioni...he didn't flop? Lol...the toughest guy on the Bulls squad last year is one of the best floppers in the NBA.

It is a league problem, not a player problem. You have to exaggerate the reaction to get a reaction from referees.

Somewhat related, someone said on another site that "Michael Jordan never flopped!"...well, Jordan never really had to flop because he always got the call regardless. Toni Kukoc would need to be decapitated to get a foul call.

I do think some of the blame falls on the referees. They've created a terrible situation with their bad calls. Its so easy for certain players to take the ball into 3 defenders, flail your arms, and your shooting two free throws. Other players could be pushed from behind on a fastbreak layup and nothing is called. Consistent refereeing would curtail some of the flopping IMO (but not all).

My favorite flopper of all-time was Jack Sikma.

Bruce Bowen made some good points yesterday on First Take. His opinion is that many of the players utilize flopping or "acting" out fouls in order to gain a psychological advantage. Think of what Rodman did. I can remember the '98Finals when Rodman and Karl Malone got tangled up and Rodman flopped like a fish for a good five seconds.

It kind of makes sense -- it gives players a chance to make their opponent take a timid approach on offense, knowing that the defender is going to look to take a charge instead of disrupting the play. I do agree that some players completely overstep the boundaries and make the game horrific to watch for stretches.

Ultimately, the NBA should attempt to do something. Honestly, I'd start with holding the officials a bit more accountable. Most players understand that the stars will get some more favorable calls, but when guys drive into the lane and get murdered without a foul being called, then the next play when Player X goes in to attempt a steal, he's instantly whistled. The lack of consistency has to be addressed.

Unless your Rose and you don't get calls at all.

That's what I'm saying. I don't like flopping. It's a ***** move. Anyone who does is is playing like a *****, even if they wear the red and black. I don't give a damn who it is. I hope they start fining and suspending players for it, so we can get back to some real basketball, not this ballet bullshit we see with guys like CP360 doing his heliflopter move. Or lebron bitchass james exaggerating non contact.

You have to exaggerate contact to get a call?

Please tell me where the contact is here?
