Let’s see who our new GM is going to be before we start focusing on HCs…

He might be my top choice but it’s hard to put anyone above Harbaugh. Going to have to move really fast to get him though and I don’t think we are setup to do that. Broncos probably hire him.

OK I'm not familiar with Flores. What's the attraction here?

Kind of a surprise fire!
I already said it in other threads that he's up high on my list of HC candidates to bring in for interviews. Dude won 8 or his last 9 games this year. Now he did get off to a rough start losing 7 of first 8 games so that's a concern but he was great last year and they're a young rebuilding team.

I'm still surprised after all that's gone on down there. He has a winning record and beat New England 3 out of 4 times.
They started out 1-7 and were contending for a playoff spot.

You don't win 8 of 9 in a row with no idea of who your team is. If he won 8 straight then lost the rest I'd understand.

I thought Denver was too soon with Fangio and I think the Dolphins are worse.

He needs an established qb, Bears need a coach who can develop a qb.
Yeah he's a defensive coach so i would need to really get a great idea of what he would be looking for as his OC and offensive coaches.

Once they hire McDaniels as HC he will bring in Flores as DC.
Yeah I don't think most alpha male egos could handle that. And as a HC, you've got to be an Alpha Male (which does not mean you are a yelling, screaming, maniac).

I am very surprised by this.

I have no idea what the relationship is like, but if you could get Flores and Kevin O'Connell as OC (to prove himself away from McVey) that would be a great scenario.

Whoa, this move feels like they have one guy in mind, but if they don't land him they might be shit out of luck and have to pick from the table scraps of other openings. Kind of hard to lure a successful coach there if you're gonna get fired after 3 years of decent success while going 4-2 against your top rival.

I'm shocked he got fired... Dude did a pretty solid job in Miami. If Tua actually played better, they easily would have been a playoff team.

This team TRIED to tank by trading damn near every solid player on their team in 2020, and they STILL finished 10-6.

This year - thanks to injuries, covid, and lack of talent - they started 1-7, but finished 9-8.

I don't get it.
