I've watched plenty of boxers close in and hug him.... if you want to take him down all you need to do is get into clinch and take it from there.

That being said, if Mcgregor just clinches or shoots and doesn't try to KO him on the feet it would be a giant disappointment.

I think Floyd the barber would know the difference between a boxing clinch and an MMA clinch. That should be in the first day of 'how to MMA' 101 class.

True, but avoiding clinch/takedown or grappling in general is alot harder than people realize.

The plus for Floyd is that Mcgregor has never been heavy into clinch work or wrestling.

I agree with Spartan that kicks could play a much bigger role.... Floyd may be able to move, but Mcgregor could use a few good leg/calf kicks to hobble him and then it becomes a whole different fight.

Floyd could have finished Mcgregor in the first minute of round one if he wanted too. Money Mayweather propped that stiff up for 10 rounds, because money. Knowing that he could be taken down and beaten, I figure Money knocks him the **** out in the first 30 seconds before anything bad can happen.

Floyd Mayweather has pillow hands he's not knocking anyone out unless it's a TKO.

Boxing, that is correct, his game is to play defense and he is the best ever at it. Is anyone stupid enough to think he would approach MMA with the same strategy? Just because he never boxed swinging for a knockout doesn't mean he couldn't, don't be naive.

Yes he could, especially with 4oz gloves.

Floyd still won't be knocking anyone out. Still best for him to outlast McGregor, who is bound to run out of gas sooner than not.
