One of the things to remember is that this is Desai's first season as DC... so he's going to be learning too. He was without Trevathan to start as well as Hicks and Goldman for certain games... I really think in our front 7 is healthy, we our D can keep us in any game. Can the offense score 20+ on a consistent basis and give the defense some rest is another question.

Sure. They might. But Brady has been torching everyone and Rodgers is no slouch either.

The QBs we have faced aren't exactly terrible. I think 11th strongest schedule when it comes to the passing games we have faced so far

That isn’t necessarily a forgone conclusion. The new HC may want to keep Desai and the staff in place if they keep this up. Nagy kept Fangio. Trestman wanted to keep Marinelli but Marinelli didn’t want to work under Trestman.

The issue may come when/if Desai proves himself to be a legit DC will he start getting HC opportunities.

Imo that decision would be up to the new HC. But it is very Bears to do some backwards ass shit and make keeping Desai a stipulation on getting the job.

It is what it is. I think they are a good enough defense (still) to win a super bowl for sure, They did enough in the first half to where if we had a semi-competent coach and play caller they should have won.

unfortunately the offense is high school bad.
