You were thinking the same throughout his first 2 years. You 'member
I see everything exactly as it is while you fanboys see what you want. You talk about Forte being consistent when he's been anything but. In 3 of his 7 years he's averaged less than 4 ypc. You act like he's the ultimate dual threat back when, in fact, he's far from one of the top running threats and the fact he caught a lot of dump offs w/Trestman doesn't mean much as most backs coached by Trestman also saw their highest receiving numbers of their careers.
Just wondering if anyone has pointed out that Forte was never an All-pro?
He should have been in 2013. But instead they gave it to Eddie Lacy who ran for ~200 less yards while averaging a half yard less per carry, had ~350 less yards receiving, and had 1 less TD.
Yeah, and some of that, I think was the lack of respect that anything Bears has offensively with the media.
It is amazing to me how blind you are to the abilities of one of the top 3-4 backs in the entire NFL for the length of his career. People can argue whether or not to give the guy a new contract. That is fine. But you should open your eyes and your mind about what the hell you should want out of a running back. Forte has all around abilities. That is his genius. He is the 2nd best all around running back that the Bears ever had behind the GREAT WALTER.

He used to like him until he picked him as his troll target for 2015.
I like him but he ain't great and it is time to move on from him. You used to think the same of him as I do, nothing amazing.
Why is it time to move on from a top all purpose back who still produces? Sure you point to his dip in ypc last year but he was playing behind a banged up line in a terrible offense where everyone sucked. He still did the lions' share of the grunt work in a thankless task with that passing game. There's plenty of shit to remove and replace that should be a higher priority than replacing one of the few gems on your roster.
All purpose schmurpus. Get a back that can give you an effective running game. Cutler and Forte for Kaepernick. That's what I'm saying. Wooooh!
He was second in rushing the year before when the line was healthy and the passing offense wasn't a laughing stock. I would rather draft and develop our own QB.
Smh at all the meatheads wanting a bruiser short yardage back.. They don't last in the NFL, there's only 2 that you could say that about and theyre at their decline as well. Forte hasn't declined at all and he's a great Bear. Enjoy it dislike nancies

Did Brady or Eli Manning need an rb like Forte to win SBs? How about New Orleans or Green Bay when they won their Super Bowls? Who were Pittsburgh rbs when they won their Super Bowls? Forte was probably better than the rbs that these teams had, but why does it matter? Only Seattle won with a great rb but it was due to their D more than Lynch. What wins SBs is QB play, not RB nowadays. Why waste spending money on a 30 year old rb to be stuck in the lower end of mediocrity and rebuild from scratch. I rather have an All Pro QB than an All Pro RB any day.
We've been looking for 80 years, but yea **** the rest of the team till we get a qb
Silly bastard.McCoy is not as good an all around back as Forte. Period.
