They have already given out comp picks for this year bears got none.
It definitely counts for next year.

Right now Dalman’s signing is eliminated by the Taylor signing.

Shelton wipes off Dayo.

Jarrett, Thuney, and Jackson don’t count against the formula.

If Jenkins gets more than 5 million, they probably get one. If Allen signs for more than 5 million, they probably get another one unless they do something else in free agency.

HAHAHA sucks for Loins fans. They prob thought he was coming back
Actually, I don't know what the lion are thinking here. Even though Zeitler is going to be 35 next season he is coming off two of his best years as a pro, why the hell did they not make an effort to bring him back.

Judging by OTCs estimate, if KA could somehow get $13-$14M AAV Bears might get a comp 4th which would be pretty sweet.

1741880904353.pngIs this correct? I forgot the Bears received a 4th from Carolina this year too. I’m seeing this as the Bears’ selections everywhere. It looks like they still have 8 picks. This screenshot is from NFL.com.

Is it wrong?

This is wrong, NFL.com made the mistake yesterday and hasnt corrected it yet.

OR - the offseason is scripted and NFL.com was supposed to wait for the trade to be announced before putting in this update. @zabavka

Read somewhere the Bears could be interested in Cooper Kupp? I don't get that one. Bears need speed, not another broken-down plodding receiver past his prime. If that were the case, you'd think they'd just re-sign Allen, since he already has some chemistry with Caleb.

IDK if speed is what we need. Though I guess your WR3 can be a gadget or niche. I was thinking a WR3 should be a nice possession guy, somebody safe, with good hands. But honestly, don't we think that DJM, Odunze (with no Keenan), Kmet, and Swift should get like 75% of the targets in this OFF? There is some WR speed in the draft, but I don't see them doing that. WR—Golden 4.29 RB—Tuten 4.32 (I like him later)

It's a compensatory pick for keeping Matt Eberflus one year too long.

I wasn’t a big Matt Forte fan. He seemed to go down almost always when a defender swiped at his ankles.
Still one of the Bears better RBs. Hits holes really well. Also Matt was dangerous as a receiver. One the best screen runners I have ever seen. Also blocked really well.

Forte is a good comp as Hampton does everything well. Would say Forte had more elusiveness while Hampton more ability to break tackles.
