Hey brett. What does someone store a collectible cereal box in? I'm only asking, because of your experience working in the memorabilia business. I used to work for Kellogg's, and I was given a few cool things over that time, like old stock unused/unglued boxes, as well as the few Wheaties boxes I picked up and saved. Right now, I use my "all-purpose solution", which basically consists of acid-free polypropylene newspaper storage bags, and boards. However, seeing that the iconic Wheaties covers have had collectors for some time, I wonder if a sports memorabilia pro knows the preferred storage medium(if any).

Right right, but is there some kind of industry standard for storage. Like if I walked into a (no-such thing AFAIK) a cereal box collectors store(or maybe there is, just not a dedicated store), would everything be in a 3D display glass, or what? De-corrugating is the way to go, to keep integrity if your interested in the grading. But to de-corrugate assumes the user knows how to open/unfold the box without making more damage.

Just asking, I didn't know if collectors came into your shop with one method preferred over the other.

Can go both ways really. I think its easier to display framed personally

We do two types of framing. A basic and one museum. The museum allows a framed jersey to be mailed without affecting the piece

I like the boxes flat

We're having a communication breakdown here. :)

I'm talking about storage gear. You're talking about display gear.

For just storage?....re-reading your post.

OK, for just storage, I like what you are doing, but you also need to keep it away from humidity and quick temperature changes. I'd keep it in the 45-75 range temperature wise. Also keep the bags in the plastic tubs that have color to help reduce other light coming in.

Free as in giveaway? Or free as in rescuing the box from someone's cellar?

So who won?
