As long as Jr can stop being a wildcard and be consistent, I will be fine with him on the team again.

Yup same routine as the NFL. No actual roster management can actively take place until a new CBA is grinded out.

[sarcasm]So who's ready for possibly 4 to 6 more months of trade/FA speculation with nothing happening til it's all solved?[/sarcasm]

J.R.Smith is the NBA's Terrel Owens. Of course he's good, even better if you can control him with a video game console, but in reality, he will never amount to a champion, just a a lot of stats.

Just Ringless Smith

scottiepippen1994 ripped me a new one for not inlcuding JR Smith in the last article I wrote (Addressing The Bulls’ Shooting Guard Need Elsewhere |)

This is exactly why I chose to put Jamal Crawford in my article instead of JR Smith. The guy has talent but his off the court issues I think would be a problem for Paxson. Pax has had a track record of wanting to acquire players with high character. Smith and Crawford are similar players but Crawford doesn't come with the baggage.

Out of the list of three guys I made, Crawford would be the one SG I would want the least anyway.

Yeah, I saw that LOL.

I'm not hiding my no-love for JR Smith. Rip on me all you want. I sat back and said that I wanted the Bulls to grab Lee or trade for Al-Jeff in the offseason, and so many wanted Boozer. I was not as anti-boozer then, as I am anti-JR now.

The Bulls would be better off saving their money for another three or so seasons by unloading Boozer's contract (because that is probably what it would take to even sign Smith) than to acquire J.R.

Maybe if the Bulls acquired additional pieces to go along with Smith then I'd be for it. But I don't know if that is the case.

I agree about JR smith, and I too wanted Lee.... but hell no to Al Jefferson.

Dude has bad knees, can't really defend, and doesn't really seem to win. Boston team sucked when he was there, Minny sucked when he was there, and Utah collapsed once Deron Williams was traded and Al Jefferson was there.

and I don't like his contract.

I didn't want Boozer either

I should rephrase then, because it's not like I LOVE Al-Jeff. I would have taken Jefferson before Boozer. Jefferson didn't do too bad in Utah, lets be fair, Boston was a loser before and during the Al-Jeff years(and he was picked out of HS) and then he played on a perennial lottery team that didn't do jack with Garnett. So it's not fair to call him a total waste. Jefferson would have saved us about $4 mil a season, and given us better output than Boozer, and between the two, I see their injury history as a push.

Yeah, I would prefer not to have Jefferson or Boozer... but if I had to choose, I'd probably want Jefferson too... mostly because he's younger and wouldn't cost as much as Booze

But if we traded for him, we could have lost a lot...

Smith and rodman aren't even close. They're actually exact opposites.

smith [SG] is all about offense and shooting and getting as many shots as he can get.. he also doesn't play D.

Rodman [PF] was all about defese, rebounding and didn't really mind not getting the ball on offense.

and comparing MJ/Pippen to Rose and deng? I hope you're being sarcastic. I'm gonna go with you are being sarcastic.

Anyone comparing J.R. Smith's would-be impact to Rodman's should just commit suicide.
