Jr takes crazy shots and can be a hog at the wrong times during games. Rodman was a team player and far from a ball hog. Jr just worried about himself at times and tried to do everything by himself. The team doesn't need that kind of personality. He is no different the James Johnson when it comes to talent, but JR can get hot from 3 and people seem to ignore his selfish antics because of his hot streaks, while James doesn't have that stroke so his uncontrolled talent showed more and he doesn't get the pass that Jr Smith gets from some people.

i was speaking personality wise of those 2 and how they were(or would be if jr signed) both added to fill holes in the lineup that we needed to, and that they are more committed to 1 side of the ball(J.R.off and Rodman Def). geez:rolleyes:

I see your point. But I see JR getting benched in the 4th quarter for his defense with Boozer.

J.R. Smith is a million times more skilled than James Johnson. James Johnson is an athletic specimen that has not much business on an NBA court.

J.R. isn't a bad defender at all. He's just selfish as an offensive player... but it doesn't matter because the Bulls likely can't even afford him anyway.

The Bulls have about 60.7 million on their guaranteed pay-roll for 2011-12 (assuming there is a season) - not including Jimmy Butler. The best case scenario (probably) is that the new cap will be at 62 million. That isn't going to be enough room to sign Smith or anybody else decent.

Jr Smith is not a bad player, but he is just strictly a better shooter than JJ. Outside of that, they not that far apart. Both very good athletes, both make questionable decisions on both sides of the ball. Both sometimes looks as if they don't get it yet. Both can handle the ball and finish. I honestly don't see the "million times better" in that. But that's just me.

Well Jr is a gambler on defense. Which is fine but sometimes he reaches in too much and either gets called for silly fouls, or gets beat by his man for reaching in and getting crossed up. But that can be fixed, but its only if JR wants it bad enough.
