I literally refreshed the page to post this and it's already been done, nice!

I like the deal a lot, worth every penny. Great job Stan! I don't see many people having an issue with this at all.

Got @ $1 million per year raise. Not a terrible contract. I think this wil end up being a bargain. Loved the Bickell-Boland-Frolik line during the playoffs. Now get Campoli signed.

2.3 mil a year is not a horrible deal. Should be good, he really turned it on at the end of the season.

Seems high still. While I believe Frolik is an upgrade over Skille, I was thinking he was worth more around $1.5M. But with everyone overpaying this offseason I guess $2.3M is the new norm.

The report that the #Blackhawks have signed winger Michael Frolik is not accurate. Source says sides are moving closer to deal, however.

Hopefully they can get the cap hit down a little bit... not bad around that hit tho.

Why am I not shocked your are 'disappointed' once again in the Hawks.

2.3mil seems about right. Now he has to get to the 20g mark again, at minimum. If he plays with a guy as offensively gifted as Bolland is, it shouldn't be a problem.

I was expecting $2M or around it, so $2.3M is about right. A 3 yr deal isn't bad either.

Makes me wonder if Campoli is going to get $2.5M as a result.

Same here Wolfie....I thought around 2mil....kinda thought/guessed he was asking for the 2.5mil-3mil range...based on what some others got.

So 2.3mil...but being locked up for 3 years is good too...all seems fair.

I do think with Montador getting 2.75mil...Campoli wants no less....but I don't think he should get that (being a RFA still).

As it sits now,Hawks have 23 players "under contract"...without Campoli they have $3,924,038 in cap space. Figuring if/when Campoli signs...then Kruger or Smith start in Rockford...that will add another 800-900K to the cap, to keep the roster at 23.

Its really amazing what Scooter Boy did with the cap this off season. Going from one of the worse, to a really good position - not just this year, but next. It's amazing what good contracts do for a club. For the forwards...you get the "core" at the 5mil plus...and then slotted under the 3mil. None of those "tweeners" in the 3-5 range. (Assuming Sharp will be in that 5mil group soon). Olesz and Bolland weren't Scooter signings.

With them locking him up at a decent price, I feel much better about the season

Cap hit was 1,275,000 last year salary + bonus per Capgeek. At 2,333,000 per/3 years is less than double his salary last year including the bonus. Its a good signing IMO.

Edit: And he will still be a RFA in 3 years.

Have you seen how much free agents were getting this off season? He probably would have gone from 2.5-3 million on the open market.
