Frolik Traded To The Jets

The Blackhawks have traded Michal Frolik to the Winnipeg Jets for the 74th and 134th overall picks.

I'm a big Frolik fan...bummer. Once again, cap casualty. Hard to pay a 4th liner/swing guy 2.33mil though. Blackhawks have close to $14mil in cap space now - so things could get interesting on how they choose to spend it.

Glad he was able to get a Cup with Chicago. Hopefully he gets a chance to get back to a 20 goal scorer in Peg.

Yeah, me too. I loved his hustle and attitude this season. If nothing else, he learned how to be an NHL player here. They gave him a role and he ran with it. Winnipeg will be in the Hawks division now, won't they. That's a lot of old Hawks coming in to visit when they play.

This was a good move. Frolik was nothing outside of the PK.

Rumors say the Hawks have no interest in VL, I could see Weiss being a target and hopefully not Ribero.

Yah... I'm torn. His cap hit, while not as big as Bolland's, was big for his contributions. That said, I liked him a lot and that is a total salary dump with very little return. They better spend that $$$ well.

It is tough watching guys who were such a big part of the Cup run go, but Bickell, Leddy and Kruger are more important than these guys and the money has to go somewhere.

I am not as concerned about Bolland and Frolik as I was when Big Buff was dealt.

Sucks this had to happen. But it's understandable. PK was clutch. His 2 penalty shots in the playoffs make him an obscure stat. Good luck to him. And 36 as well.
