Does this count as a minority executive? Would the Bears get a compensatory draft pick with this hire?

He does count as such, but no. Only for GM and HC and he is not part of another team’s development track.

That and if he were part of another NFL team, they would get the picks, not the Bears.

A business man that knows more about football than Teddy. Not a high bar, but an upgrade there as well.
Plus who would be better with a multi bil project with the new stadium the season ticket pr guy turned owner plus the family stooge who brokered that weird ass revamp of soldier field or Warren who was part of building a state of the art stadium. Seems like a no brainer

A this point, I believe the number one thing on their plate isn't building this team up or winning games....its getting this stadium complex bulit. Teddy could've been easily forced into retirement to get a guy in here with experience....that wouldn't surprise me at all. When it's all said and done, this complex could completely revitalize the Chicagoland area. For years Chicago was the #1 city for conventions....who knows where thet're at now....6 or 7.....all the warm weather cities are gobling them up with most of the big sport venues. This complex could change all that. I don't think I'd want Teddy pulling the strings....good move getting an expereinced guy in here.

Why would the McCaskeys be concerned with winning games? That’s Poles’ job.

The owners are NEVER concerned with winning. They just want to be profitable. If it wasn't for detoilet, the Bears would probably be the Cleveland Browns of the NFC.

I am thinking this is someone who has experience in both building a stadium AND in assisting in the transfer of ownership.

This is called foreshadowing.
