With all of the discussion about tanking this season for a new elite QB or OL or CB or LB or S, I was starting to get a little low in anticipation of watching some pretty frustrating, horrible football from my favorite team (the Bears) so it got me searching for a silver lining.

Professional football is a sport and is supposed to be entertainment. The games are on TV. But how are we going to be entertained week in and week out if we have nothing to look forward to but Ls?

This thread is for the gloom and doomers, betas and haters, but it's also for those of us that enjoy seeing the Bears WIN, even if it means we don't get an elite player in next year's draft.

What will be the things you look forward to every week this season despite facing an inevitable loss? What sort of play from your favorite BUSTS will make you LOL?

We are talking about "Fun Bad" where certain mistakes, gaffs, whiffs, breakdowns and overall shit play actually becomes entertaining to watch...

For some it might be Cutler getting clobbered, others seeing Shea getting trucked, while others it will be the "shoestring" tackles Forte is always victimized with.

I'm not sure what I'll be looking forward to, but maybe it will involve Jared Allen chicken leg fails, or maybe missed assignments in the secondary. If anything, I predict that a complete abandon of the passing game will make me LOL, just seeing Cutler hand off the ball until teh RBs are exhausted and Pat O'Donnell gets to do his beastly thing...

So, FUN BAD, What Ya Got???

For a fun football season be a football fan and not just stuck to watching Bears football. Gambling helps- suicide, fantasy, or game bets. Don't be mad at the team or let it ruin the season we are rebuilding expect bad football

I don't understand why everyone is so scared. There are 4 games where we have no shot to win. GB X2, Seattle, and Denver. Every other game we have a chance to win. Now granted we could lose as well but there have been seasons where I thought we'd go 4-12 and we ended up making the playoffs.

I get it but I'm not sure they will be funny bad. Likely just boring bad. If funny bad makes it to Chicago I will gladly join in!

This secondary is pathetic. If it gets as bad as last year I will probably look to Brock Vereen for entertainment. At least Chris Conte would look stupid in an attempt to stop a player. Vereen just taps guys and lets them run whetever they want.

Also, i will enjoy stephen A Smith postgame Cutler roast.

They will be Trestman-level bad on the field, I promise you. Even the organization/management-level decisions are getting off on the wrong foot.

Going to be a lot of drama this year, none of it good. Too bad we shipped Marshall off; it'd be interesting to see how combustible this season would make him.

I think my Fun-Bad watching will be the post-game pressers where we get to see Fox and Pace lie about injuries and how the team is coming together according to plan...

"Coach, can you talk about the extent of Jay's injury? He went down pretty hard."

"All I can say is it's a lower extremity injury. Didn't seem that serious. Sounds like he is day to day."

---- FOUR WEEKS LATER ----

"I regret to inform you that our quarterback, Jay Cutler, has died as a result of massive blunt force trauma after over a month spent in a vegetative state."

Congrats on 20,000 posts!

Luckily hockey starts in week 5 so I can quit football for the year.

Going to be interesting to see how many times Kane scores this year.

Honestly, I'm not concerned with record. I can see us going 2-14 or 10-6 depending on where the chips fall. I'm more concerned with being better than last year (not record wise). I want a watchable team at the least isn't going to give up mid-way through the year. I grew up with the Bears going 7-9, 6-10, 9-7 etc. but it was at least entertaining. Last year was the first year that I can remember that I stopped watching games before they were complete.

Thought this was kinda interesting...

Unlike with Jay Cutler in Chicago, Devin Hester happy to be on the same page with Matt Ryan in Atlanta. http://es.pn/1NS0RfN

You can if they are actually relevant to the topic of the thread...

To me, 2015 makes for a great football watching season. There's going to be something positive to take from every game. Every win will be a surprise bonus to celebrate in the bar with likeminded drunken Bears fans, and every loss is positive because it's going to take us that little bit further up the draft board and closer to acquiring the best quarterback in the 2016 draft (which is pretty much all I want out of the 2015 season).

The only way this season can suck is if they play the depressing, bad football we expect, but somehow squeeze out some extra wins from other teams' mistakes (or superior tanking skills) and end up at 5-7, which would make the last month really suck, knowing that we're not going to the playoffs and also not getting a top draft pick.

Knowing the Bears they'll find a way to screw it up and do exactly that.

I just want to see more hustle on the field. I haven't watched one snap of preseason yet, but I'm going to watch week 3 in a few short hours. I just want to see people moving fast and being decisive. I want to see a new attitude out there moving forward.

And seeing Megapunt turn into Maynard V2.0 would be nice. I'm also looking forward to Cutler's last year (finally) and I will try and enjoy every Forte snap b/c he will most likely be gone. He gave us a lot of great years.

I read your OP, and thought to myself what a terrific idea to think ahead and install a game plan for Fun-Bad. Then a few posts down you answered your own question with exactly how I was going to respond to this thread. In addition to the anticipation of Fox and Pace lying on a weekly basis, it will also be fun to hear the excuses on CCS for the disastrous play on the field:

Another new offensive coordinator for Cutler

Not having the proper personnel for a transition from a 4-3 to 3-4 defense

The crowd at Soldier Field making too much noise when we are on offense (although by the 2nd half of the year the place will be half empty, so that should help)

Toughest schedule in the entire NFL

Still paying for the poor drafting by Angelo

This is just a few. Just as a side note to one of the prior posters who named four games that the Bears will definitely lose. I will promise you that we beat the Broncos this year.
