this is on the otherhand, rhetoric I dont care to use. "We" didnt do anything. The people that lived then did. Using we Imply's we that live today owe their descendants something, which "we" do not, I didnt do a damn thing to anyone.

While I agree that those of us alive today had nothing to do with it, it is still a relection on the society. Considering the past is brought up on many debates around here, sometimes the ancient past, it is a pretty valid comment in context IMO.

I heard a radio news report interviewing a Libyan who worked as a Qaddafi translater before seeking asylum elsewhere. He was asked to recount the worst thing he saw when working for Qaddafi. He recounted how some political prisoners complained to prison officials about their living condition in a Libyan prison and the officials informed Qaddaffi about their complaints. Qaddafi sent a military squad to the prison and they mowed down all 1200 political prisoners with machine guns.
