Well clearly you're not in the target audience then. I was hoping to reach people who were literate.

Well when you find the one person who cares to read the article... I hope they report back that the shitty captain was called out.

Thats good but he has played more than 1 playoff game. Don't care if those games were against the Jets and Flames when a goalie walks into a conference final with a 1.86 goals against average it should say something. Not that stats say everything as obvioulsy they don't. But he is a lot quicker and agile than most people think.

You can under-estimate him all you want as a fan but I hope the boys in the dressing room realize that he's not Devon Dubnyk.

I'm sure they will now.

But you think he's gonna maintain a .970 SA% all series? If Anaheim's defense resembles the trash heap it was for large portions of today's game, Andersen is going to crack. I don't doubt that.

The kid made some great saves today and I'll give him credit for that. But a goalie hasn't stolen a series against the Hawks since Mike Smyth in 2011, and that Blackhawks team was nowhere near the caliber of this one.

The Hawks are going to get chances that even Andersen won't be able to stop, and that's because the Anaheim defense just isn't that good.

Yeah, not Toews' best game. Far from worried about his ability to get things corrected.

Hawks top line is going to have problems with the Ducks all series. Its funny how Hawk fans say "just shut down Getzlaf, Perry and Kesler" and all will be fine. It's not as if the Ducks can't shut down guys like Toews and Hossa making that first line useless and the Ducks had some good times shutting down Kane also today. Works both ways. Ducks aren't chump meat. Hawks need to adjust for game 2. This series is going to be a good one because both teams are good.

And the absurd notion that Andersen is an average goalie needs to stop pronto. He is the best goalie the Ducks have had in a long time. problem is he is still relatively new to the league so no real books are out on him yet and he is a goalie the Hawks have NOT faced that much. That can be very problematic.

Strap in for a long one.

But we stopped their top 2 lines, it's our 3s, 4s and D's that should make the difference. The Ducks came out sleeping, Kane and Toews were not much better either, but we still dominated and they made it 2-0 on two Rundblad mistakes that I've seen Rozsi do too. After that the game kind of died, especially since we played only 4 D.

And Andersen is an average goalie, not great, not bad

I feel better now than I felt before the series, just play more than 4 D

EDIT: Saad was sleeping too

Btw #calledit

Ducks will be pumped, Hawks rusty, Rundblad scared. Ducks win this one.

PS Who cares about the final score, it's not a european soccer league. I hope all the Ducks wins are blowouts and all the Hawks ones are close, except the last one

Probably wont maintain those numbers I agree. Will Crawford improve his? Not asking that to downplay Crawford but shit until he gets proper help again his numbers arent going to get much better either. Not sure if the Ducks defense was as bad as the Hawks today either. Hammer was flat out exhausted half way through the game and was chirping at Oduya for crying out loud..that was brutal. Until Q puts Keith and Seabs back together our defensive pairings are in trouble because Runblad/Keith and Timo/Seabs just isn't going to work this series. There was a lot of disfunction on the ice on the Hawks part also all day.

I'm hoping that after 10 days off and a game under their belts now that the Hawks will come back together because today was a shitty display of team cohesion. Saad played soft again, Toews was murdered mentally by Kesler, Hammer having a spat on Oduya. Total lack of composure.

And that PP. Holy **** that PP. If anything cost the Hawks the game today more than another dismal pp? I don't know what did. 2 chances to tie the game up..critical powerplays and they were garbage yet again.

Can't disagree with anything you said. We'll see how Game 2 goes.

Unless the defence has to actually stop the fucking puck for Crawford, the D played a pretty solid game

Anaheim's D turned it over a ton, but Andersen bailed them out

Time to get the goal scorer formally known as Hossa off the PP. And hopefully Toews works on staying on his feet and catching a pass the next 48hrs

Kesler treated him the way Sharp treats players wives

Crawford fucking sucked, but Rundblad's complete and utter lack of composure is what led to the first two goals. He fucking sucks, and I don't see how Cumiskey isn't a better option.

That said, you aren't going to win games scoring one fucking goal. The Hawks' forwards looked like shit most of the game.

The PP is fucking horseshit and has been for a long time now. I don't understand the personnel decisions or the setup at all. Why is Sharp playing the point, if you're not having him setup for one timers on his off wing? It makes absolutely no sense to have him play the right side on the point... Where is the value in having him there? To hold pucks in the zone on his forehand? Why not use a fucking defenseman there if that's all he's going to be doing? The Hawks overload the right side of the ice, but what are they trying to accomplish? Who are they looking to setup, because they don't have ANYONE in the middle of the ice... They don't have anyone in high scoring areas... They aren't creating any mismatches or odd numbered situations because they use 10% of the offensive zone... I just don't get it. The other team just seals off that side of the ice, because they don't have any shooting options on the left side... It is completely ineffective and the PP needs a major shakeup. TT should be getting big minutes on the PP with the way he thinks the game and passes the puck. But let's continue to use Saad, Bickell, and Hossa out there, who are completely ineffective....

Don't know if its been said or not, but I don't think its a coincidence that the first rozi-less game, hawks go out and lose.

That's the only real baffling part of the last 5-6 years of this team. The power play has consistently been fucking miserable for several seasons now, and it never seems to get better. The personnel doesn't ever change, the schemes never change ... they just keep trying to set up that same fucking backdoor play that the whole league figured out in 2011.

I'd like to see the Hawks get Cumiskey into the next game and sit Timonen. In a 7 game series you are going to need better depth from your #5-6 defenseman and Runblad and Timonen played a combined 15 minutes yesterday. Our top 4 is going to be dead within a game or two if they have to play damn near 30 minutes a night every other day.

I didn't think anyone on the team had a good game. Kane was rather invisible unless giving up the puck, as well as Saad and Hossa. Crow? Shit the bed. Need to do better than he did.

Have to steal the next 1 and take it back to Chicago 1-1.

I see Peztroll and DModtroll are getting along quite well.

Maybe they are but they're right. I'm tired of our lackluster PP costing us games. With all the talent we have, this should be a non-issue. Time to do something completely different. I don't care what, but figure it out.

I think Sharp/Richards on the PP gives the D some rest

Get Hossa off the PP and put TT there would help.

Get perimeter corsi god Saad off the PP as well.
