I respect the fact that Ken Hitchcock is an NHL coach, but if he actually believes this shit, then he's a fucking idiot.
He literally said after the team lost in the post-season last year, they need to become a more gritty and physical team. So when they traded Oshie for Brouwer I felt Hitch was all over that. At least with 2 bad post-season players, 1 will take shots at hitting the big 6'8" guy on the other team as much as he can even if he takes himself out of the play like Brouwer did last night.
And it's no wonder despite his improvements in coaching spots and his weak side lock system skill adding the low addition for more flexibility and D-aggressiveness there in his system he still is a meathead. This isn't just as tight and physical as the dead-puck late 90s, you can't have Hull and Modano and nothing else elite offensively and win. Having just Tank isn't enough.
