Honestly, I do think the refs got that call right on the disallowed goal. But the way that they went about it was so, so bad. NHL has to hold its officials to a higher standard.

I agree. The first thing I thought was no goal, interference. But then they said good goal. Now goalie interference isn't reviewable.....so what's he doing on the phone at the scorers desk? I don't think he was calling his wife...might've been calling his bookie...but probably talking to Toronto. So they're reviewing an unreviewable goal. And they wonder why this great sport is so far down the totem pole. They just keep stoking the flames of ineptness....and doing it on a national stage.

To top things off....No goal, interference....and no penalty to Toews?

Liked the way the Hawks started out, fast paced, crisp passing, and staying heavy in the Kings zone. Don't see how the refs disallowed the Toews goal? Goalie contact was incidental in the act of shooting and looked like the Kings player pushed him a bit. When the Kings scored shortly after I was super pissed. If that had cost the Hawks the game that ref would have had some explaining to do. As is Hawks won, 7 to go!!

That was my biggest problem with it. Ref clearly points to the net when the puck goes in, indicating a goal. All four officials huddled together at center ice before they went upstairs, but they never indicated that they'd changed their minds to no goal in that discussion before they called Toronto. That's the crucial part of this whole thing.
