I think I'll end the night with this one:
Best. Gif. Ever.
I think I'll end the night with this one:
Cumiskey with 18:34 and Timonen with 16:45toi last night. Have to be worried about the top 4 recuperating after a game like that. I am sure they will be up for the task but having to log big time minutes, fatigued minutes, it could catch up to them.
Hawks took a lot of hits last night.
Going to catch up with them if they don't dispatch the Ducks quickly.
And Anaheim is going to wear down from chasing the Hawks all over the ice.
There's more than one way to exhaust an opponent.
Hawks running only 4 dmen is going to wear themselves down.
See above post.

Thought that Cumiskey had a pretty nice game, all things considered. He had a few turnovers that could have proved costly, but lucky for him they didn't. I'd like to see him use his wheels a little bit more...seemed like he looked for the pass even when he had time, and that got him in trouble at times. Was definitely a whole lot better than what Rundblad brought and can bring. Timonen looks completely outmatch out there when it comes to the physicality of Anh. Really worried about what Timonen can bring out there and if he is going to cost the Blackhawks in his limited minutes.
This should continue to be one hell of a series. A goalie win could be the ultimate deciding factor in who advances...let's all hope Crawford is ready for game 3.

I'm exhausted today. Glad it was worth staying up til 1:30.

The only chasing I saw was the Hawks in their own zone after losing their composure and turning the puck over due to the Ducks tough forecheck.
Some of the hits they took were brutal, but the guys doing all the hitting are probably feeling it too, especially today after what is hopefully a mentally devastating loss at home. I could be wrong but as the OT periods went on the hits seemed to have subsided. Timonen got rocked but I admire his courage, he's just along for the ride to try and get his mane on a cup. Cumiskey skated well, he showed some speed getting to the puck and clearing out..Wonder if coach will start him again at home?
I agree. I think that the pain of the hits is increased by the loss of the momentum in this case. The Hawks got beaten badly in the physical game but the Hawks victory has most likely demoralized the Ducks to a much greater extent than the pain of a physical beatdown. It will be interested in seeing the level of energy both teams exhibit when they take the ice at the United Center. Is it booked that Jim Corneliousness is definitely singing the anthem and getting us started off right?
