I thought the Blues were going to raise a freaking banner after winning that game way back in October on Steen's last-minute goal.

Nice observation ... I think that is a Mizzoora thing - I can't tell you how times in Kansas City that sports talk back callers had the Chefs (spelling intentional) going to not only the Super Bowl -but winning it in the 90's ... in the pre-season of all things - and the only thing that really ever stopped that from happening was the mere fact that they could never win a playoff game .... small technicality I guess.

I also loved how Royals fans used to bag on the Cubes in years when the Royals were losing 100+ games per season ( think they did it a record 5 consecutive times) ... and it isn't actually like they did win that one World Series to the Cards ... it was a blown call in game 7 that gifted it to them (although mind you I thought it was pretty funny at the time.). . .
