Cup or no Cup, I cannot, with a clear mind, think Tampon sticks around. Just no. Can they at least fire Kompon?
Good Lord, that's right. This means I'll have to look at Fisch's annoying avatar for at least two more games.

My area team just hired an assistant from the DevilsMaybe Kompon will get a call from an AHL team after being an assistant on a Cup winning team? Hahahaha
Matt Shaw
Head Coach/General Manager
Matt Shaw was named Head Coach and General Manager of the Dubuque Fighting Saints in May 2013. Shaw replaced Jim Montgomery and became only Dubuque's second coach since the team's return to the USHL in 2010. Shaw brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the Fighting Saints. The Phoenix, Arizona native comes to Dubuque from the NHL’s New Jersey Devils where he spent the 2012-13 season as an assistant coach. His vast coaching experience includes spending the last six seasons in the NHL, working as a video coach with Minnesota in 2007-08 before joining the Wild staff as an assistant coach in 2008-09. Shaw served in the same role with the San Jose Sharks from 2009-12 before joining the Devils last season. No stranger to the Tri-State area, Shaw enjoyed two stints as a coach with the Quad City Mallards, first serving as an assistant coach from 1995-97, and helping lead the team to 1997 Colonial Cup. After spending a year as the head coach of the ECHL’s Mobile Mystics in 1997-98 and working as an assistant coach for the IHL’s Chicago Wolves the following year, Shaw returned to the Mallards as the club’s head coach in 1999-00 and guided them to a 53-16-0 record, and a berth in the UHL Finals. He spent seven seasons as an assistant coach and assistant general manager with Houston Aeros, the primary affilate of the Minnesota Wild from 2000-2007. Under Shaw, the Aeros won the 2003 Calder Cup. In his playing career, Shaw played in the USHL for the Sioux Musketeers in the 1980's before spending three seasons at United States International University before playing one year at Colorado College. After his playing career ended in 1989, Shaw stayed in Colorado Springs and started his coaching career with the Tigers for three seasons. Shaw and his wife Caroline have two children¬¬, daughter Clare, and son Hayden, who spent last season playing defense at Woodbury High School in Minnesota and was a sixth round selection of the Waterloo Black Hawks in Phase II of the 2013 USHL Entry Draft.
You like it and you know it
Don't quote me, but I think it was a three year deal.Anyone know how long of a contract he signed?
The stories I found via Google Search just now indicated that he wasn't fired, that his contract wasn't renewed. Means the same thing, I know, but it's much easier (re: cheaper) to not renew a contract as opposed to fire someone.
Bruins defense plays like shit & the Hawks still needed extra time.
Series is going 7. Nerve wrecking but we Cub/Sox fans need this before going back to shit baseball teams.
I dont know about you guys, but Im too damn wired to go to bed. It might be infomercial Wednesday-Thursday!!!!
