Looks like Numbers still bitter because people disagree with him regarding the show.

I agree with you on 90% or roughly halve of your takes. This piling on and exaggeration is just too menstrual for me. I get it it's become a thing, and you don't want to feel left behind, hive mind.

I like how Bran allow all that death and destruction so he can be King. Could have maybe warned Jon about Dany.
Bran was going for this shit from the start. Every time they tried to consult him he would just warg out until they left.

It wouldn't feel right stopping this thread that's been going since 2012. Should be the spot for the prequels.

Bran being king is absolute horseshit. Other than that though, I actually enjoyed the final episode.
I thought so at first too, but really who sits in the ‘iron throne’ is the least interesting ending. They may as well make it Bran, as he’s not an interesting character.

Would it have really been better if it was Jon? I don’t think so, people just want that fairytale ending bullshit.

So what, the Wildlings somehow heard snow was coming back to the black and showed up and took him. Mr oath driven Snow abandons his sentence to go with the wildlings? Guess after he killed Danny he said **** everything my character has stood for with no dialogue.

Best episode of the season. Only makes sense that Bran ends up on the Iron Throne. He's the first narrator of the book

Yes people come here to discuss the show. The good, the bad, and the ugly. That is in keeping with the premise of this thread. You seem to come here to discuss your frustrations with other posters posts. Perhaps instead you can engage with those that are like minded and discuss the aspects of the show you enjoyed. Just a thought.

Think the issue with Bran is that there is no buildup to it. Not to mention that Tyrion goes from being imprisoned and possibly executed to then nominating Bran and no one has any objections whatsoever. I mean come on. Then Sansa decides **** it the North will remain free and no other Lord challenges it or says to themselves oh that sounds like a good idea.

The selection of Bran as King was so rushed. These dudes been warring and fighting each other for ages but decide on a cripple as King in 2 minutes. A cripple who by the way basically told everyone, he has been waiting for this moment yet no one questions how and why. Did you foresee all of this bad shit Bran and if so why didn't you tell us? Everyone just magically loses their ability to critically think and is like, "Yeah the cripple is a great idea because a dude who has been fucking up all season and betrayed his best friend and his queen for Cersei said so." Yeah right.

Agreed. All that was weird and seemed clunky. Pretty sure if one Lord wanted to be an independent 'nation', the others would too.

Plus, how was it that Greyworm was not held accountable for his war crimes and yet Jon was? Odd.

Well I suppose the argument would be that Greyworm was following his Queen's orders. Jon by contrast murdered someone he bent the knee too. In this world, loyalty to your King or Queen seems to trump all as even Jamie was looked down upon for murdering the Mad King. He was only protected because of the power Tywin had.

What was odd to me is that Greyworm and the Dothraki were just like, "**** it let's go home now after these dudes murdered our Queen." I could maybe see Greyworm doing it but you would think the Dothraki would take it as an opportunity to rape and pillage.

The episode was actually pretty good. The problem remained the lead-up to this episode. Peter Dinklage probably gets an Emmy for this episode. I think the strongest performance by a character yet, this season.

Problem is, the lead-up (which we have discussed) sucked so bad, it's hard to judge this episode on it's individual merits. There are some problems with it still.

The North wants to be independent? WTF? With Bran installed as king, why would you want that? And yet, did we forget that Dany promised the Iron islands independence, yet no mention is made of that?

Jon is sentenced to essentially exile (although it might be a relief to him anyways), because Grey Worm (who is leaving anyways) and Yara, wanted him executed? Greyworm I could understand a bit, but Yara, are you fucking blind? And why do they need a wall anymore anyways? I don't get it. Who is in charge of the wall, KL or the North? Logistically this makes zero sense.

And I still don't get Bronn being the master of coin. Did anyone happen to catch who was in charge of Casterly Rock?

Aryas sweet face changing powers turned out to be about as fucking useless as Brans warg abilities. He should’ve warged into Drogon and took control of him at the end.

@Jamais Vu this thread needs a mercy killing. Like Jon shooting the arrow at Mance Raydar to save him from the fire.

On top of the independences not making any sense does Bran “the builder” founder of house Stark (who Bran was named after) not count as the 1st Brandon Stark? If so isn’t Brandon “the broken” 2nd of his name at the very least? Seems to me that founder of house Stark would have had at least a few Starks named after him after 5k+ years. Brandon “the broken” 1st of his nickname seems more appropriate.

Just overall sloppiness by the writers on the little details that used to make the show so complicated and compelling.

Sansa, "We're going to be independent."

Dorne, "We can do that? Maybe we should do that? Nah..."

GFY
