If we won out, we wouldn't get the fifth. It'd require huge collapses by both Philly and Miami and us winning out to get it. It's not a mathematical impossibility yet, but it's in mathematical absurdity range.

The problem is we're 3.5 out with 6 to play and lose the tie breaker to both Miami and Philly, so it's like we're 4.5 out.

Yeah, we're not getting 5th. It really doesn't matter if we get 6th or 7th, because its probably going to go down to the wire in terms of us geting 6th or 7th and Orlando/Boston getting 2nd or 3rd. We're probably not gonna know who we face until the last day of the season.

As for the game, Bulls by 15. I know its the Nets and they seem to have our number, but its a home game so thats pretty much cancelled out.

I really want to see Rose take it to Harris though. Harris has killed us all year, it would be nice for Rose to give him the business for a change.

This 3 day lay off sucks and what sucks more is unless my employee can come in @ 2ET on Saturday I will miss the whole game. That will be a whole week of no Bulls basketball

yeah, exactly. 4th and 5th seed is out of reach and we should not even expect it.

However 6th seed is still possible but I will be happy with any of 6th/7th or 8th. I just hope Bulls keep winning and get better and get healthy.

I also don't expect us to win more than 2 games at most against any of the top 3.

First of all, welcome to the board.

Regarding Rose in the playoffs, I think he will pick it up even more and will be a lot more aggressive (seeing how he picked it up in the college tournament). Also, there are so many positives about making the playoffs.

* Rose gets experience.
* Tyrus/Noah etc gets experience
* Rose does anything spectacular, will get more attention in National media which will help in the coming years.
* Respect that we will earn - also from refs as well (good for next year).
* Also, in the playoffs, you just never know what will/can happen. We might even beat Celtics if KG is out - who the hell knows (assuming Celtics with 2nd seed and we get 7th seed).

The only bad side is that Vinny is probably guaranteed to come back for atleast early part of the year next year.

John Salmons participated in the shoot around today, but did not practice. Will be a game time decision.

If Salmons feels he's ready to go then he should go. If he's ready to practice then he should practice. These games are important for the team too.

Yes he should play if he can. He's one of our best players and we're fighting for a playoff spot.

Today is Ben Gordon's 26th birthday. He will score at least 26 points, book it.

Are there any backcourts in the league who average more combined points than our backcourt of Gordon and Rose, and the Nets backcourt of Harris and Vince Carter?

I wonder how many times Funk will remind us of Gordon's size disadantage today. Maybe he'll finally notice that Hinrich is almost exactly the same height, but far less strong. If they'll post Gordon, they'll post Hinrich.
