It might be time for Salmons to put the 3 point shot in the bag for awhile, and attack the basket because he has had at least 3 open 3 point shots he just flat out missed, he needs to mix it up a little more and just drive it hard, maybe that way he can get his rythme back.

Good point. 'The Daywalker' has a decent drive game but he's been content just taking 3's lately. Could be due to some lingering groin issues.

Are we finally seeing a killer-instinct from Rose. Maybe it's the playoff run or maybe it's because D.J had a massive game against them last time. Who knows, but I like it. He has really made that mid-range shot his, and the fact that he has developed it during the season is quite amazing and just shows how he is on another level compared to other players.

Our offense is rolling right now, I think that can be attributed to Linton Johnson.

Haha, I just noticed the ghost of Juwan Howard is in the game. Didn't even know he was still in the league! He must be the last of the 'fab 5' still playing.

The topic has been beaten to death, but one thing I like about Vinny over Skiles (a short list to be sure) is that I never see the players play tight. They are much more relaxed on offense with the Del Negro system.

Inconclusive!

Good job by Derrick Rose blocking the one camera angle, haha.

Nice fake by Gordon and foul draw.

Well that's not really fair because Vinny has a roster with more scorers where he is able to run, Skiles didn't. The best way for our teams in the Skiles era was to slow it down, and to get good shots so they could get back on defense quicker. Vinny allows them to play freely on offense but that also sacrafises their defense. You watch how many times they give up open shots or layup even when they score.

I think it has more to do with Ben Gordon not having to be worried about being subbed out for Duhon if he misses a questionable shot or turns it over. Or Tyrus Thomas not being taken out of the game when he misses two jumpers from right above the free throw line. Vinny is letting the guys play, and without the fear of being benched for missing shots, the players are playing much looser.

Well that is my point, Gordon really grew from that experience he had with Skiles. People talk about it as though it was a bad thing, but Gordon would take some horrendous shots back in his rookie year, and his defense was astrocious.

As I said before, in order for our teams to win back then was with our defense, thus we couldn't afford to take bad shots as bad shots leads to fast breaks for the opposing teams. Yes, from a mental aspect you play more freely when you know your exact role, but to be fair Skiles had to be disciplined with his teachings in order for us to win as a very young team - which we did.

Salmons is now 1-6 from downtown. That's Nocioni-esque right there.

If you live by the jumper, you die by the jumper and right now he is dying.

Down goes Detroit. That means if we beat the Pistons, we can finish no lower than 7th.

The Detroit loss means the winner will be 7th (or possibly 6th), but if Detroit wins they'll still be ahead of us.

Wow.

Sam Smith just said (while on the AM 1000 half time show with the 'Swirsk') that he believes the Bulls can beat Boston if they get them as their playoff draw.

I think anythings possible, but....we're only up by 2 on the Bobcats despite Derrick Rose making his first 7 shots and Ben Gordon pouring in 21 first half points....and the Celtics are a lot better of a team.

I would have said the same thing if I was him - what does he have to lose?

He can say that the Celtics would beat the Bulls down like everyone else, but that's not big surprise. But say that the Bulls pull of the miracle and actually beat the Celtics in the series, then Sam looks like a genius.
