I hope come playoff time we take the D'Antoni approach and try to continue to force the pace to be reckless. So many offensive oriented teams change their style in the playoffs because the coaches start micromanaging. You go tto stay who you are.
Excellent point we need to use our athleticism to our advantage. No matter who we play we need to keep the pace up to have a chance at all.

“Avoiding LeBron will get us the Celtics,” Salmons said. “Avoiding the Celtics will get us Orlando, so it doesn’t really matter at this point.”

“I wouldn’t mind getting the Hawks,” Salmons said.

“The top three teams are really good,” Gordon said. “I don’t know if it matters much, but it would be a lot better to not play Cleveland. They’ve been playing really well.”

“Ben Gordon got a lot of open shots, a lot of good looks,” Felton said. “Even when I was in his face, he still hit shots.”

“We know we’re playing for more than just to make the playoffs,” Salmons said. “We want to try to move up as far as we can.”

Looking at the comments section. Hardline conservatives still find reasons to complain. Partisans are partisans. A democrat can be pushing a conservative agenda and a republican can be pushing a liberal agenda and the opposite side will still find a reason to *****.

They should be happy Obama is making an effort to do what they want. Not go right to saying "its not enough". No it isn't enough, but for fucks sake who thought he would even do this?

It isn't enough but I'm not going to complain, it might cut out some bureaucratic red tape but I also wonder if there is an ulterior motive for this move.

I'll admit, I didn't get past the part that reads "seeking authority." DUH! This dude is always trying to gain more power than The POTUS has traditionally had. Oh, but he promises "I will only use this authority for reforms that result in more efficiency, better service, and a leaner government." Yeah, I believe that. Cause more power never leads to abuses, right?

I think I am following your line of thought. The most socialist POTUS in our current lifetimes and he is talking of shrinking government? I don't buy it. Why the sudden change of agenda or what I feel is more likely, what is he gaining by doing this? He always claimed to want fundamental change and keep in mind this is the same POTUS that has publicly said he will lead by executive order versus through Congress. I fear that this is a pure power grab.

Anyone notice how this is being rolled out into the media before it is even being discussed by Congress? A good leader would be convening with Congress behind closed doors, working on a solution to problems and then coming to the public. I see this as pure politics and more division by Obama. He is looking to conquer by division. Mark my words, the next step after floating this balloon will be to come out and blame Congress and the Republicans that they are not working with him.

Edit; Not to mention William Daley is leaving him as Chief of Staff after less then a year with him.

My point proven I guess. Or you are right, Obama is just Dr. Evil up there planning world domination and anytime he does anything that remotely coincides with your views its obviously a ploy.

I wish I did not think that way about this POTUS but I do and I feel he has given me more ammunition to scrutinize him then there is to support him.

For me, definitely. I don't trust the guy and I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

For me this is more, I'll believe it when I see it, stuff like this seems to get thrown out there all the time and it seems to do nothing more than raise their name in the polls some, and if anything lead to the shell trick where they have you looking one way and pile it on the other way. When this happens then we can talk about it. Good move in theory. But I have a hard time believing that they are going to wipe out 2000 jobs without putting them somewhere else.

Alright, you'll need to back that up. What exactly has Obama done that is so socialist? The only welfare he has given is to the corporations, or what you would call the "job creators" and even that was started during the GWB administration. And the healtcare reform is hardly socialistic either. As I see it he's been pretty run of the mill, even milquetoast, and has gotten very little progressive stuff done, not to mention anything that would even suggest SOCIALISM. And that's just because he's had an obstructionist congress and he wasn't as progressive as he let on during his campaign. Imagine that, a politician that lies during elections.
