Beating Chicago after everyone is once again counting us out would be a huge boon for this team (even when we're still UP in the series is ridiculous). Let's not forget, most of us predicted this to go to 6 games. It's going there now. And personally, I would love for nothing more than to crush them on their home ice. This 2 day break will be extremely helpful.

We just need to do what good teams have traditionally done. Play with a short memory, and put in a hell of a lot more effort.

Who's counting them out. The only thing I've read from the media is the hawks are making it interesting but are still a long shot to win the series.

"Play with a short memory" Yeah Luongo plays with a short memory alright, if you count 3 years of nightmares short.

If you asked me right now I'd say I am going to skip watching this game.

But I'll be honest, I'll be watching Game 6, shotgun inserted into my mouth.

It's pretty obvious that this is all part of a plan. Winning three straight against the defending cup champions was faster than what they expected -- you can't win a cup without some adversity. So spot them a couple of games and test your mettle to set you up for a deep run. Also, won't the Hawks tears taste so much more delicious now that they can smell victory only to have it ripped out of their hands? First goal wins in this series, we have two more kicks at the can. Good riddance to fairweather fans -- although you'll be back on the bandwagon the second the team wins.

Why would we cry? We are the 8th seed. We are injury riddled and our roster isn't as deep as it was last year. but sure we'll cry.

Seriously. Patterson is like Poison. He really is.

My favorite caller so far was that clown who was a "hawks fan". Apparently the lower mainland has like 1000+ diehard longtime Hawks fans that only started appearing in the last few years and have all these nuggets of wisdom.

Broken record is what they sound like.

I laugh everytime I hear one of them. Game 82, they wanted Q fired and questioned Toews' leadership and thought that Keith was so overrated. Tonight, they want to bear their children.

No we've been pretty consistent on wanting Q fired all season (least I have) I never questions Johnny's leadership, I wasn't happy with Keith and at one point sure entertained the idea of trading (a debate with myself) but just chalk it up to a bad year. If he shits the bed next year, then worry.

Vancouver hasn't been the same ever since Torres hit Seabrook. Not only are they worried about Chicagobut they can't play their game physically due to the refs.

If they blow it and lose the series, you have no choice but to blow up the team, and that includes the sedins and luongo.

Wut? They've been hitting, cheap shotting, and hacking all along. The only one I respected last night was Samuelsson after he high sticked hammer, he went right to him apologized and it seems asked if he was alright. Nuck or not I respect that.

After watching post game interviews and seeing the confident eyes of the Blackhawks, I have to conclude that the Canucks are done. These Canadian kids have too much heart. I really hope Gillis rebuilds this team with a core of Canadian kids. Europeans and Americans just don't have that extra edge unless they are surrounded by it.

Um Kane is an American, Hossa (who after I bitched about him, decided to show up, yay I can love hoss again) is Euro. So yeah....

Did you miss the "unless they are surrounded by it" part?

But yeah, this surge by the Hawks have caused a lot of comedy gold from the fickle Nuck fans and well worth it even if the Hawks get eliminated.

I particuklarly enjoyed the cascade of LOUUUUUUUUUUUUs turning to BOOOOOOOOOOOOOs last night. Best team of NHL regular season booed by fickle fans on home ice. Priceless......

Well, this years excuse is apparently a flu bug that is going around the Nuck locker room. Didn't the Hawk have somekind of flu during the Nashville series last year?

If the flu is an excuse, then the hawks actually won the presidents cup.

Is it similar to the Philly Flu of the Broadstreet Bullies days?

I saw numerous nucks fans already annoint this the biggest collapse in SPORTS history. Have they forgot they're up 3-2 in the series?

And they've got @ 72 hours to let the hysteria percolate before game 6...no pressure though.

The Hawks knew they weren't good enough to match the Canucks on the ice so they used their tactic of getting in the Canucks' heads. It worked.

As if talent and effort had nothing to do with it.

I thought the Hawks played their asses off the last two games. I guess outplaying and outscoring the opposition team is "getting in the Canucks' heads" but it was hard work.

It was so nice to see everyone on the team trying so hard.

The new conspiracy theory is that the entire Canucks team had had the flu since after game 3

I think TCD must have sneezed in some Canucks lunch. Last year he got AV with the Stink Eye, this year it is a new tactic.

Some nuck fans on their board honestly think there is a real NHL conspiracy keeping Canadian teams from winning the cup.

Honestly if there was some sort of communication from the league to the refs telling them to put the fix in, you honestly think no one would have ever intercepted this? Or whistle blew? give me a break, the NHL isnt the CIA.
