He just turned 9 so this is his birthday present. We live close enough to drive to KC and see the Bears. He's getting super excited and is finally old enough where he hasn't been getting bored part way through the game. I wish his first game could have been a home one, but this will do and there's always next year.

This will be my third game in three years with my wife. Let's hope her Irish luck keeps up and we win like we did against the Jets in NYC and the Ravens at home.

Hopefully we'll have time to hit up the Woodyard for some BBQ before we have to get back home too. :)

Just thought I'd share as the excitement is building. Now if StubHub would just be able to have official/commemorative tickets instead of printing them off with someone else's name on them.

I know this season has been pretty low so far, but there have been a lot of bright spots IMO. I'm still rooting for the team to win rather than for a better draft position, but that's just me.

BEAR DOWN!

Enjoy!

I think this one will be every bit as close as the Raiders game...so win or lose it should be a great game.

Heard Arrowhead is a great stadium too.

You sir, are a real fan unlike these dimestore fans here

Did you see Shea's confidence sore when Robbie spit the uprights from 50 yards for the "W"?

That will be huge for us going into 2016!

I've heard that as well. Not as brutal to visitors as some places, but not easy either. I expect to be heckled.

My favorite bit about last year in NYC was when some Jets fans were heckling my dad (that game was his b-day present) and he gave back as good as he got and all I did was point to score board without saying a word b/c we were up so early. Shut the guy up immediately.

That's awesome. I highly recommend hte Woodyard in East KC. It's not where you'd expect a restaurant to be, but the food was awesome. We liked it better than the other famous place in KC (can't think of the name off the top of my head atm).

We decided to save money on a hotel and drive down Sunday morning. May try to convince the wife to leave Saturday instead. :D

You will be fine. My experience has been that everyone lays off when I've taken my kids to away games.
When I've gone with the buds....mixed bag.

Staley, I hope your son never meets Hometown Jimmy as he will ruin the kid's life.

Hah! Too true. I understand the strategy of losing for the draft, but I think about the psychological factor for the players. They are on limited time either due to contract, age (especially age) or any other number of factors. They can't all luck into an SB team like Kellen, "I fall down," Davis and bumble into a ring.

Plus there's nothing like feeding off that energy of seeing a team win and how the players are so amped up! Makes me damned excited!

Might not be able to find any hotels close we booked about 3 weeks ago and got the last room at a drury 8 miles away. If your comming from Chicago might want to stop short and drive the rest of the way in on sunday morning.

We're coming from Omaha. We will be driving that day. I forgot, in my excitement, about our Siberian Husky. No one to take care of him overnight. :)
