yeah unfortunately most people don't but JJ has a lot of RAW talent, with Boozer hurt this is his big chance

Yeah this is his chance. Sadly I think he's a poor version of some previous raw talent we had the past few season (Tyrus Thomas). I dont think there's much for him. But thats just my opinion.

i think if he can rebound, defend the perimeter, and either shoot the 3/develop cutting abilities he could be a rotation player as a sf/pf. plus if he does develop as a decent defensive player, he'll be a player capable of guarding stretch 4's and bigger 3's like lewis.

Basically if he improves every aspect of his game he could be a good player.

Wow.

Way to step out on that prediction.

I never said he'd be a good player. I think he can be a rotation player, so he'd take away minutes from bogans and kurt thomas. Frankly he's not worse than either, right now.

JJ was out of shape last year, and he didn't develop at all under the tutelage of vinny, and he didn't see any minutes to play through his mistakes last year. Taj gibson didn't develop over night.

you're acting like he isn't already working on this.
learning to box out isn't significantly difficult. plus he's a decent defender already.

Ariza went from being a terrible shooter, to you have to guard him. JJ taking a few steps back and hitting the nba 3 isn't insane.

he's working on both shooting and cutting w/o the ball over the summer. plus TT has been running the guys ragged on practices.

Moreover do you really think bogans is a better shooter than JJ ? or that thomas is a better player at 38 than JJ?

Great.

A bad rotation player!

LOL at this.

Bogans started nearly 50 games last year and played nearly 20 MPG for the Spurs who won 50 games in the West.

Bogans is better than JJ right now.

Kurt Thomas as bad as he was last season at least was a rotation player for the Bucks behind Bogut.

JJ's highlight last year was getting dunked on by Lebron.

All these clowns on this baord saying Bogans is going to play 5 minutes per game and saying he isn't any good need a reality check. The guy is going to be seeing around 15MPG, maybe a spot start for Brewer/Korver here and there at the 2. He's a quality NBA player. Greg Popovich isn't known for trotting out garbage players to start for 50 games.

learning to box out isn't significantly difficult.
Which makes you wonder why he hadn't learned to do it already.

Ariza went from being a terrible shooter, to you have to guard him. JJ taking a few steps back and hitting the nba 3 isn't insane.
Yeah, I'm sure he will hit a 3. So did Manute Bol. I'd love to see JJ blow up. That'd be awesome but it's hilarious that people now have pinned thier hopes on this guy since Boozer got hurt when before Boozer got hurt JJ was seen as an end of the bench 2nd year player.

he's working on both shooting and cutting w/o the ball over the summer.
OMG! I wonder how many other players in the world do that?
